He was an American citizen in 1942,when he was already 38 yrs old,he donated his salary in one movie to the british services & gave much of his salary to the war effort & spent his own time visiting injured troops overseas.. So as I said he was a kind,classy,& generous gentleman...Maybe you should find a more accurate book to browse threw...sheer envy I think...

That is actually an attribute,not a bad thing that he continued to work. He also made sure the tickets to his show were no higher than 25.00 so people could afford them,he had respect for people & believe me they showed up ,people of all ages,races,etc...

My sentiments exactly. There are always rumors that he was gay. Personally, with all the biographies I've read about him, I've never come across any that has been able to confirm that. As far as I know he was straight. But then again, who cares. He was still coolest guy and the most elegant actor ever.
