@steavedaver If the glasses were OFF you would see a double image clearly, but you see one image and a slight ghost (crosstalk) image so they are ON. Ideally you should just see one image through each lens. Keep in mind the TV version(T27A950D) is not as fast a S27A950D monitor, and can not do 2D at 120Hz. Hope that helps.
Hallo next week i will have this monitor...So can you please tell me which cable should i use to get 120hz. Great video btw...Plz respond :) Thanks a lot...
It look's like the glasses are not on, we should see a shit load of shuddering when you put the glasses on the camera. Is that why there is ghosting? Because im about to buy the TV version of this and want to make sure that that is the problem..
@pikachusDeMoN Did you put the batteries into the glasses and press the "ON" button at the top of the glasses? 2D to 3D conversion works best with full screen video, good luck
@EchoNatek Nope. At least the last time I tried I couldn't... the Nvidia 3D vision setup told me I didn't have a 3D monitor connect to my computer =(. Unless they recently added it to nvidia 3D compatible monitors, check nvidia's website.
i just bought it yestrday and convert 2d 3d and wearing glasess is normal i didnt feel the 3d " i not takeout the green and yello thing on glassess " idk
I will Mainly use this monitor for everything except 3D on PC (cuz of my Nvidia set up and I play 2 much on PC)
HOWEVER....something I didnt quiet understand and maybe you can explain a little better. In order to get 120Hz on PC u need a DUALDVI-D connection, thats fine, on PS3/Xbox...do u also need the same DVI_D connection in order to get 120Hz? because HDMI doesn do 120Hz and we can all see that consoles support HDMI. Thanks
@codplayer515 Unfortunately HDMI 1.4 cable is not as fast as DVI-D or DP cables when it comes to Hz. So the fastest I've seen a HDMI cable do is 89.8Hz from a PS3 I've wondered myself if a PS3/Xbox could do 120Hz in 2D if they had DVI-D or DP outputs(I think the HDMI cable is holding them back) maybe the next-gen systems will have those outputs, or if they design a HDMI 2.0 cable that can push 120Hz in 2D sometime in the future.
watching this on a Galaxy Nexus on an OLED screen with near perfect colors and blacks and this monitor looks absolutely perfect, can't wait to get s27a750d in a few days :p
@hondo190 If you look in the User Manual Under "2.4 Playing 3D Games on a PC" (page29) it tells you to install SyncMaster 3D GAME Launcher (TriDef 3D) software. If you can't find your User Manual you can download it from Samsung's website. Also, as I said in my review this software is a bit difficult to use, so good luck =)
@maxhax2000 I personally like having a huge screen there's so much space to put a bunch of windows, and watching movies or playings games you feel like its right in your face, but ya the pixels are not as densely packed together, but you really don't notice it. If you need to see the difference just go to your local computer selling place and take a look at a 27" and a 23". the 23" will look a bit crisper but its also smaller ha =)
@Receptical hmm thats what i was thinking to, but i wonder if the 23" has less or no light bleed like the 27" model seems to have. even if the 23" doesnt have the light bleed im still leaning towards the 27 lol.
i got this monitor a few months ago and im starting to notice its leaning towards the right (cos the stand is on the left) only by a few mm's. is it normal?
I just orderd this monitor, but i've read alot about backlight bleeding in the lower right hand corner. I am curious if the one you purchased has this issue? I know if mine does i'm RMAing it back to newegg.
@Bounty4321 Ya mine screen has a tiny bit of backlight bleeding, but I only notice it when my screen is show a black screen or watching an extra wide screen movie with black bars, but when I'm playing games I don't see it unless I'm running around in the dark =]
@Receptical Just got mine today, within about an hour i had an RMA issued and had it boxed back up lol. The backlight bleeding in the lower right corner was awful and i showed itself no matter what i was doing. Oh well.
I bought this monitor and I have a problem . I want to know why when I enable 2d to d3 ,the screen light become dark and it's not as shiny and brightly as 2d . Is it normal ?
@nirvana1370 Ya its normal for it to get dim when switching to 3D, but if you want you can still up the brightness and contrast in your monitor settings to you liking, but it will never be as bright as 2D =[
please help me i have the 23" virsion. i cannot run 120hz, i thought the monitor was brocken si i took it back and got a new one it still dosnt work. my pc is 1 month old got it custom made for christmas. please help me.
@FumeArt Oh this is gonna get complicated... You might need to message me personally. I'm gonna need your computer stats, graphic card, OS, and driver version info. Basically make sure all your drivers are up to date especially your graphics card. You need to look in your advanced display settings and set it to 120Hz in 2D, but thats not the same depending on your system setup, so its easier said then done.
I bought The TA950, which is the TV version of this monitor. It came with an HDMI Cable and when I connected it to my HD6850 crossfire and I couldn´t select any resolutions with 120HZ. Could it be because of the HDMI Cable, because I don´t know if it is 1.4a or whatever HDMI version. So, would I be able to use this monitor with a HDMI 1.4a Cable for 120HZ 2D use??
@knexfan0011 60Hz per eye = 120Hz in 3D (but only actually 60Hz if you looked at it with one eye) but thats not the same as 120Hz in 2D (that would be 120Hz for one eye), confusing eh.
@knexfan0011 Shoot, looks like I got my info mixed up. HDMI is worse then I thought. Basically for 3D formats the limits for HDMI(1.4) are for movies:1080p @ 23.98/24Hz for games: 720p @ 50 or 59.94/89.9Hz and side by side broadcast: 1080i @ 50 or 59.94/60Hz... sorry about that. Although surprisingly it can also do 4K formats in 2D at crazy sizes like 4096×2160 24Hz
@knexfan0011 Ya gargoyle is right, the TA950 can't do 2D at 120Hz, it can do 3D at 60Hz per eye which is technically 120Hz but not in 2D. The only way you can 2D at 120Hz is if you have a DP cable or a DVI-D cable connection with a monitor that supports '2D' at 120Hz. As far as I know HDMI 1.4 cables don't support anything above 89.8Hz in 2D and even still not all the time. All those TVs that say 240Hz, 120Hz simulate it its not true 120Hz in 2D.
@Receptical The TA950 is not 120hz supported. If you jsut had looked on the samsung webpage and clicked f5 on the section of your TA950 you cant find 120hz. They brought out a new one where you can acutally do that called the Sa950. Also the TA950 does 3d in 24 frames a sec what suck. And the new one in 60 what still suck lol but is better. so switch your screen the new one is new so better if you want 120 hz
@Receptical Thew T one is just the tv version, good for movies and stuff. I also dont know why the dont just make 1 screen to get it all in. But if you look around the T version can even be more expensive aswell then The S version. So what i say earlier, its does not suck it depends on what you want. You can still game on the T version but if you want 2d 120 hz support you need to get the S one. greets fakkel
do you advice this moniter for someone who only plays games on the ps3 and sometimes watches a movie. because I am sick of the bluryness my tv now has. even if I play fifa on my ps3 the players leave some kind of weard blur behind them, what is that and do you have it with this moniter ?? please reply
@jef0022 If I where you I'd look into the PlayStation 3D Display. The SA950 works great with the PS3, but its ideal for the Gaming PC. I don't have that blur behind problem with this monitor =]
It's not the developers fault, PS3 has low clock speed (x360 got fast clock speed) that's why most games are 720p, it's difficult to develop games for ps3.
The reason why most 720p games look blurry on a 1920x1080 screen is because it's upscaling itself to the native resolution of screen (1920x1080). And ps3 ofcourse got some old hardware and videocard.
The only thing possible to make all 720p ps3 games look good, is to buy a hd-ready plasma tv(because of native resolution and speed)
your uhh uhhm video, needsahh, i mean, your review, needs mmm, you need to stop uhh playing the game whileuhh reviewing. because uhh all your friggin, uhh pauses makes me errahh lose interest and uhh.. pop a few lozenges so uhh you get that ahh frog out of your throat.
@darenlua Yup its just the size of the screen. Some people say the 23" version looks crisper because the pixels are more tightly packed but I like the size of the 27" myself, its huge.
@Zico10101010 Depends, I use the Dell u3011 at work it has super accurate colours, very high resolution lots of inputs and some cool features, I have to say its a really good monitor for working on professional graphics or video stuff. But for gaming its nothing special it tops out at 60Hz at 7ms refresh at full resolution so its up to you I'd say its like a Hummer fully equipped can handle anything, and the SA950 is like a Porsche its much faster and more responsive
Listen up everyone. In order to run 120 hertz 2d, you need a Dual Link DVI-D cable or a display port cable. HDMI cannot run anymore than 60 hertz at 1080p due to the cables limitations. Running 3d applications you will notice 60hertz but that is because 2 screens are being rendered and is splitting 120 hertz, so you are getting 120 hertz in 3d. The T model will not have the inputs to allow you to run 120 hertz so always buy the A95027 model.
@ibanez0830 HDMI 1.4a does not have the capacity to carry a 120hz signal. The best it offers is HD3D which in turn looks incredibly junky since its max FPS is 30.
The reason why PS3 and 360 games look horrible on your monitor is because they don't run at HD resolutions most of the time. They are upscaled to 1080p. Consoles can't handle HD graphics like a PC can due to lack of memory. Go play a PC game at 720p on a 1080p monitor and see how good that looks. Anything below native resolution looks horrible. The great thing about PC is it can run actually run HD resolutions. The matter of how smooth it is depends on your system.
@voltgaming The only way to get 120Hz is to run games in 3D, or watch a 3D Blu-ray in 3D... But playing games in 2D the fastest I've seen is 89.8Hz on the PS3 unfortunately(I don't think the PS3 was meant to play games at 120Hz in 2D...I think the game would have to be made specifically to run 120Hz). I think there is only a hand full of PS3 games that try to push over 60Hz . Actually I don't know if HDMI cables are the bottleneck?. PC can do it easy but not consoles.
I just bought this monitor 2 days ago for my PS3. I plugged in my HDMI 1.4 and I cant calibrate the colors. Its all greyed out. Screen info says 60Hz.
I got this monitor yesterday at Micro center Originally the price is $699 with a 3 year protection plan $159 covers monitor100%. I got quite a deal, the guy working at micro center did a price match, Luckily he found this monitor $549 and match it, so i save $150!!! A nd I must said this monitor is amazing, all quality, I just love itt, if you own a PS3 and Xbox you will be amazed too,
so I looked here, I was in the advanced settings, but has no option for 120Hz on the PC, more beauty, I've done a nice way here, fought anyway, thanks!
@hustonskt So you got this monitor? How to switch to 120Hz? Ok it depends on what graphics card you have and if the monitor can do it, but in general you want to look for Desktop\Display Settings and look for Refresh rate and set it to 120Hz sometimes you need to go into custom\advanced settings to set this up. I don't know what graphics card you have so I can't tell you exactly how to do it =\
@Bruce99Lee 1) By ghosting I mean crosstalk and this only happens when its in 3D some of the time, in 2D you will never see it. 2) The S750 is practically as good as the S950, the S950 has one more port, a DVI-D.
@Receptical thank you for ur answer. ive been looking around alot lately and my head is really spinning now... so now im back to the s23a750d again. ive seen som videos here on utube showing the diff. between a IPS and TN. so how are the viewing angles on this monitor?
theres also one more thing. im thinking of getting this monitor, but w/o the 3d. do u know if the 750 model exist w/o 3d? im thinking that the price surely will be lower...
@Bruce99Lee I'm not sure about the viewing angle of the SA750D because I don't have it, but if its anything like that SA950D its good and there are settings to adjust the viewing angle for different situations. I think all SA750-950D have 3D included which you can use, or not use.
@GaidenHero Huh? well if you can watch Netflix on your computer you can watch it on this model SA950. Unless your talking about the TA950 and that might have a Netflix app but not all Samsung TVs support Netflix, I think some of their bluray players can run Netflix. I don't know about the TA950 sorry.
im gonna pick this monitor up this week. I have a gaming pc that i use primarly and an xbox 360 for some other games which i plan to use them both on. CANNOT WAIT!
Anyone who is purchasing this monitor, i highly suggest against it. Ghosting on this monitor is a problem. The moment i see any ghosting i completely lose the illusion of 3d. Still not ready.
@metathias This monitor is not a great 3D monitor for gaming... there are better 3D monitors out there, but 3D Blue rays look great, its an excellent and super fast 2D monitor. And by Ghosting you mean 3D Crosstalk when playing games through Tridef? or are you using the built in 2D to 3D converter?
Hey guys can I just connect my pc speakers through the monitor audio port to get the sound? I wanna get this for ps3 use and I have zero knowledge about this. Thanks in advance
@HAZ316 Yup you can connect any speaker with a headphone jack into the back of the monitor. Make sure you set the audio out through the HDMI 1.4 cable to get the sound to the monitor, in the PS3 settings (it might do this by default)
@Ninj4Juic3b0x The S27A950D doesn't have component inputs if that's what your asking? I think you would need an xbox360 with an HDMI output. I think the T27A950D is the model that has component inputs, this model does not (even-though they look identical from the front they are completely different monitors on the inside)
@Receptical are components the thingys with the blue red green then the audio? (i dont know much in this area lol) can u run an xbox at 1080p off HDMI anyway? and could i put it through the regular red yellow white things? so many questions sry :P
@Ninj4Juic3b0x Ya component is the Red,Green,Blue for video and the Red,White for audio. Some newer models of the Xbox360 can run HDMI at 1080p (although not all games support 1080p). You CAN'T put the Red,White cables into the SA950, but HDMI cables have audio and video signals so the sound can go through that... but keep in mind this monitor does NOT have speakers, just a headphone jack.
@Receptical im sry, but can i put my xbox display through HDMI then attach the component cord thing to the xbox and have it play the xbox's sound through my speakers?
Nice review, how many zoom settings does the monitor have. Sniping with Halo Reach I prefer to loose some picture on the edge with some more magnification in the middle of the screen. Thanks
hey what kind of hdmi cable are u using for ur monitor because i have the Samsung S27A750D Monitor and i wanna get the best picture u know whats the best hdmi cable bacause im confused pleasde answer ;) thak u, hey one more thing what is the display port do or wich divises can i used for thak u.
@TheJuanpis15 I use a DVI-D (Duel link), as far as I know SA750 can NOT do 120Hz in 2D with HDMI or DP(DisplayPort) the max it can do is around 60Hz in 2D at max resolution, It can do 60Hz per eye in 3D which sorta adds up to 120Hz... but its not actually 120Hz in 2D. But if your just talking about picture quality just go with a HDMI 1.4 it does it all, except 120Hz 2D. Some graphic cards have DP out. Your only hope might be a DP to DVI-D(duel link) adapter but I don't know for sure, good luck.
@Receptical I'm using an XFX 6870 Dual fan edition(with a Mini Displayport>Displayport adapter to connect it to the monitor). Excellent card! Ultra quiet, idles at 40 degrees and doesn't reach over 60 while gaming. If you have a card with mini displayports get an adapter like this: amazon(dot)com/Accell-B112B-001B-UltraAV-DisplayPort-Adapter/dp/B003TSDG06/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1316887508&sr=8-4
@SFseis Ya i didn't know that DP can do 2,560 × 1,600 × 30 bit @120 Hz with a max of 17.28 Gbit/s thats great. Do you know if DP can do 4096×2160p24 ?
Can you watch blue ray movies in 3d with Power DVD by just pushing the 2d to 3d conversion mode? If so is it any good? Also how good are the glasses? I heard that you cant recharge them and have to buy new batteries every time. Any downsides to using an Nvidia graphics card?
@keifu22 You can watch 3D Blue-rays with Power DVD 11 if you trick it into thinking you have Nvidia 3D Vision and put the signal through an HDMI 1.4 Cable (Also make sure all your drivers are up to date). Watching movies with 2D to 3D conversion is hit and miss, more misses then hits( 3D crosstalk). The glasses are very light and fit well but ya you need to buy new batteries when they die I hear they have a 15h life span. Nvidia cards are less compatible with this monitor than ATI cards.
@Amnes1a92 TA950 has a lot more features but it is a TV essentially, it comes with a remote even. The problem is that it doesn't have a Duel DVI input so you don't get the 2ms speed, and true 120hHz in 2D. If your getting the TA950 as a TV for your console systems thats fine, but I wouldn't suggest it for PC use. Basically SA950(in video) you get the SUPER FAST car that can go really fast... but not much else. OR Get the TA950 car that can go kinda fast, but has all the luxury options =)
I am thinking about getting this monitor, does Xbox 360 games look good? I will use it for my PC, Ps3, And 360. Ps3 for my 3d movies, do movies look great? anyways thanks for the great review!
@DENISPAVONZ1973 Xbox will look as good as xbox can if you plug it in using HDMI. This monitor does not have component inputs and only has 1 HDMI, 1 DuelDVI, and 1 Display-port input so you won't be able to connect both the PS3 and XBOX unless you have a Display-port to HDMI kinda connector to keep the 3D. MOVIES look awesome in 2d and 3D on the PS3 you will see details you've never seen before... keep in mind though you need to change the settings on your PS3 and monitor for it to look good.
@TheJuanpis15 I've not tested it with Apple TV 2, but on the Apple TV I'm gonna have to say no it won't work well, this is an "ok" 3D monitor but not a great one when it comes to Youtube videos. It will show up kinda stretched, and will have a bunch of crosstalk ghosting with YouTube =(. For some reason 3D bluerays look awesome but 3D video files not so good.
@kkfarmedkk Input lag is unnoticeable, but I'm no expert on that. In a nutschell SA950 excellent colours, and slick look but has glare, not compatable with Nvidia 3Dvision, and ok 3D. Asus Great blacks and 3D but sometimes makes things greenish. BenQ great value, speed, and 3D, but cheap build quality sometimes you'll get a "bad one".
Dude, I really enjoyed your review of this monitor. Awesome job! Your voice is so soothing. I could listen to you talk about anything. Receptical is a cool ass username.
Hey I was wondering which you think would be better for 3D gaming on a PS3 only, this monitor or the Playstation 3D display coming out. I really want to get into 3D gaming on my PS3 but don't want to spend more than $1000 on a new display. Would the 3D be better on the Samsung since its slightly bigger than the Playstation 3D display?
@LAGfalconsfan07 I'd wait if you can for the Playstation 3D display, this is a great screen for the PS3 and works well with it but, that screen IS built for the PS3 and I think has a faster 240Hz then this monitor. And if you change your mind by the time is comes out maybe this monitor will go down in price =)

It is very sensitive, in 3 days I got 3 stuck pixels(Which are easily fixed, but still), because I touched the screen whilst it was on.

So, would I be able to use this monitor with a HDMI 1.4a Cable for 120HZ 2D use??
knexfan0011 1 month ago
@knexfan0011 The TA950 isnt 120hz. i had this problem too. I returned mine and got the SA950.
balancinggargoyle 1 month ago
@balancinggargoyle
WTF? but it can do 2d to 3d conversion, doesn´t that use 120HZ aswell??
knexfan0011 1 month ago
@knexfan0011 60Hz per eye = 120Hz in 3D (but only actually 60Hz if you looked at it with one eye) but thats not the same as 120Hz in 2D (that would be 120Hz for one eye), confusing eh.
Receptical 1 month ago
@Receptical
60HZ per eye.One image per time --->60x2=120
So the panel itself is capable of 120frames per second, but smasung didn´t give you the option to use that??? Weird..
knexfan0011 1 month ago
@knexfan0011 Shoot, looks like I got my info mixed up. HDMI is worse then I thought. Basically for 3D formats the limits for HDMI(1.4) are for movies:1080p @ 23.98/24Hz for games: 720p @ 50 or 59.94/89.9Hz and side by side broadcast: 1080i @ 50 or 59.94/60Hz... sorry about that. Although surprisingly it can also do 4K formats in 2D at crazy sizes like 4096×2160 24Hz
Receptical 1 month ago
@knexfan0011 Ya gargoyle is right, the TA950 can't do 2D at 120Hz, it can do 3D at 60Hz per eye which is technically 120Hz but not in 2D. The only way you can 2D at 120Hz is if you have a DP cable or a DVI-D cable connection with a monitor that supports '2D' at 120Hz. As far as I know HDMI 1.4 cables don't support anything above 89.8Hz in 2D and even still not all the time. All those TVs that say 240Hz, 120Hz simulate it its not true 120Hz in 2D.
Receptical 1 month ago
@Receptical The TA950 is not 120hz supported. If you jsut had looked on the samsung webpage and clicked f5 on the section of your TA950 you cant find 120hz. They brought out a new one where you can acutally do that called the Sa950. Also the TA950 does 3d in 24 frames a sec what suck. And the new one in 60 what still suck lol but is better. so switch your screen the new one is new so better if you want 120 hz
Fakkelbrigade1990 1 month ago
@Fakkelbrigade1990 I'll look into it further, thanks for the info.
Receptical 1 month ago
@Receptical Thew T one is just the tv version, good for movies and stuff. I also dont know why the dont just make 1 screen to get it all in. But if you look around the T version can even be more expensive aswell then The S version. So what i say earlier, its does not suck it depends on what you want. You can still game on the T version but if you want 2d 120 hz support you need to get the S one. greets fakkel

@jef0022 If I where you I'd look into the PlayStation 3D Display. The SA950 works great with the PS3, but its ideal for the Gaming PC. I don't have that blur behind problem with this monitor =]

But Bad Company 2 at the end of your video looks very sharp if it's on ps3 (or is it just me?), that game is also 720p.
It definitely looks sharper than on a lcd/led tv with 100hz.
But as it goes for upscaling, it can also be a downscale problem, it appears to be that some ps3 games are forced to run in 480p or 576p.
With monitors it has always been: leave upscaling etc. to the source(in this case ps3) and not the monitor.
Only problem with ps3 is that some games go to the lowest resolutions

MrAVM1986 2 months ago
It's not the developers fault, PS3 has low clock speed (x360 got fast clock speed) that's why most games are 720p, it's difficult to develop games for ps3.
The reason why most 720p games look blurry on a 1920x1080 screen is because it's upscaling itself to the native resolution of screen (1920x1080). And ps3 ofcourse got some old hardware and videocard.
The only thing possible to make all 720p ps3 games look good, is to buy a hd-ready plasma tv(because of native resolution and speed)

Zico10101010 2 months ago
@Zico10101010 Depends, I use the Dell u3011 at work it has super accurate colours, very high resolution lots of inputs and some cool features, I have to say its a really good monitor for working on professional graphics or video stuff. But for gaming its nothing special it tops out at 60Hz at 7ms refresh at full resolution so its up to you I'd say its like a Hummer fully equipped can handle anything, and the SA950 is like a Porsche its much faster and more responsive
Receptical 2 months ago
@Receptical thank you very much.
Zico10101010 2 months ago
Listen up everyone. In order to run 120 hertz 2d, you need a Dual Link DVI-D cable or a display port cable. HDMI cannot run anymore than 60 hertz at 1080p due to the cables limitations. Running 3d applications you will notice 60hertz but that is because 2 screens are being rendered and is splitting 120 hertz, so you are getting 120 hertz in 3d. The T model will not have the inputs to allow you to run 120 hertz so always buy the A95027 model.

@Rowanffe I guess you haven't heard about HDMI 1.4a. Google it
ibanez0830 1 month ago
@ibanez0830 HDMI 1.4a does not have the capacity to carry a 120hz signal. The best it offers is HD3D which in turn looks incredibly junky since its max FPS is 30.

@2Matok Well it comes with a DVI-D cable and that should do it, but if you want buy a cable get a Display Port cable
Receptical 3 months ago
The reason why PS3 and 360 games look horrible on your monitor is because they don't run at HD resolutions most of the time. They are upscaled to 1080p. Consoles can't handle HD graphics like a PC can due to lack of memory. Go play a PC game at 720p on a 1080p monitor and see how good that looks. Anything below native resolution looks horrible. The great thing about PC is it can run actually run HD resolutions. The matter of how smooth it is depends on your system.

How you get 120hz on a PS3 with that screen?
voltgaming 3 months ago
@voltgaming The only way to get 120Hz is to run games in 3D, or watch a 3D Blu-ray in 3D... But playing games in 2D the fastest I've seen is 89.8Hz on the PS3 unfortunately(I don't think the PS3 was meant to play games at 120Hz in 2D...I think the game would have to be made specifically to run 120Hz). I think there is only a hand full of PS3 games that try to push over 60Hz . Actually I don't know if HDMI cables are the bottleneck?. PC can do it easy but not consoles.
Receptical 3 months ago
@voltgaming Consoles only support 60hz for games and the PS3 supports 24hz for blu ray
240hzTeIaStorm 3 months ago
I just bought this monitor 2 days ago for my PS3. I plugged in my HDMI 1.4 and I cant calibrate the colors. Its all greyed out. Screen info says 60Hz.
voltgaming 3 months ago
hi,
straight forward question :) when you connect this with a PC (that has a good GPU) can you watch a blu ray movie as it was intended: in 1080p 24hz?
Cause in the manual it says:
"1920 x 1080 24 Hz, 1080i" when connected with HDMI
Or will this screen automatically adjust to 1080p at 24fps when it recognizes a blu ray been played on the pc?
thx!

hustonskt 3 months ago
@hustonskt So you got this monitor? How to switch to 120Hz? Ok it depends on what graphics card you have and if the monitor can do it, but in general you want to look for Desktop\Display Settings and look for Refresh rate and set it to 120Hz sometimes you need to go into custom\advanced settings to set this up. I don't know what graphics card you have so I can't tell you exactly how to do it =\

Hi! thx for ur video. I have 2 easy questions for u.
1) u mentioned the the ghosting, i really dont know much about it, but is it only noticeable in 3D?
2) Is the 750 as good as the 950?
thx a lot =)
Bruce99Lee 3 months ago
@Bruce99Lee 1) By ghosting I mean crosstalk and this only happens when its in 3D some of the time, in 2D you will never see it. 2) The S750 is practically as good as the S950, the S950 has one more port, a DVI-D.
Receptical 3 months ago
@Receptical thank you for ur answer. ive been looking around alot lately and my head is really spinning now... so now im back to the s23a750d again. ive seen som videos here on utube showing the diff. between a IPS and TN. so how are the viewing angles on this monitor?
theres also one more thing. im thinking of getting this monitor, but w/o the 3d. do u know if the 750 model exist w/o 3d? im thinking that the price surely will be lower...
again, thx
Bruce99Lee 3 months ago
@Bruce99Lee I'm not sure about the viewing angle of the SA750D because I don't have it, but if its anything like that SA950D its good and there are settings to adjust the viewing angle for different situations. I think all SA750-950D have 3D included which you can use, or not use.

Receptical 4 months ago
@Receptical are components the thingys with the blue red green then the audio? (i dont know much in this area lol) can u run an xbox at 1080p off HDMI anyway? and could i put it through the regular red yellow white things? so many questions sry :P
Ninj4Juic3b0x 4 months ago
@Ninj4Juic3b0x Ya component is the Red,Green,Blue for video and the Red,White for audio. Some newer models of the Xbox360 can run HDMI at 1080p (although not all games support 1080p). You CAN'T put the Red,White cables into the SA950, but HDMI cables have audio and video signals so the sound can go through that... but keep in mind this monitor does NOT have speakers, just a headphone jack.

Can you watch blue ray movies in 3d with Power DVD by just pushing the 2d to 3d conversion mode? If so is it any good? Also how good are the glasses? I heard that you cant recharge them and have to buy new batteries every time. Any downsides to using an Nvidia graphics card?
keifu22 5 months ago

@DENISPAVONZ1973 Xbox will look as good as xbox can if you plug it in using HDMI. @kkfarmedkk Input lag is unnoticeable, but I'm no expert on that. In a nutschell SA950 excellent colours, and slick look but has glare, not compatable with Nvidia 3Dvision, and ok 3D.
