@ritchloui Case in point. Islam has NOTHING to do with satanism or child molesting and is not a "death cult." It's the world's 2nd-biggest religion, and its followers vary in their beliefs the same way that followers of other religions vary in theirs: true, some Muslims are extremists (like Anders Breivik), but most are much more moderate. And don't Christianity and Judaism say "worship no other gods before Me"? Also, where exactly would Muslims go if we kicked them out of "our" countries?
that there are problems with some muslims doesnt mean that people arent bigoted against it. stereotypes are generalizations about a group based on the actions of some members of that group. decrying islam as a whole is bigoted. in the same way, decrying christianity as a whole based on polygamist sects of mormonism (the muslims who bear the brunt of islamophobia have even less in common with al qaida than christians have with the aforementioned mormon sects) is still wrong.
@firedryer It's simple, if people want to be a member of the death cult called Islam then they should not come to the free world and expect to carry on with their child molesting satanic practices without criticism. Islam makes its followers repeat to themselves that theirs is the only God worthy of worship. Fine, then get out of our countries.
It's so disappointing when I see the 'liberal left' decry arguments like the ones in this video as Islamophobic or culturally-insensitive. I'm glad there's a free-thinking/rationalist community on the internet that does not fall into conservative/liberal camps.
@turbozed Agreed, on some subjects i'm called liberal on others I'm called conservative. Cant I just be a rational human being who calls BS when I see it?
Would you support Fred phelps's freedom of speech when he brandishes a flag saying "God hates fags" in the funeral of dead gay soldiers coming back from irak.
Would you support someone criticizing Israel for killing children and old people in Palestine just because their mere existence on that land happens to contradict their book. Or someone questioning the numbers in the holocaust.
@mustno3 I support fred phelps right to protest but I dont have to support his views. And he protest any soldiers funeral not specifically gay soldiers. Yes as a matter of fact i do support someone criticizing Israel for their barbaric treatment of Palestinians. And again I support their right to deny it I dont have to support or respect their views.
As I said freedom of speech is not always happy bubbly and pretty, but is necessary in a free society.
Would you still support his right if some christian zealot is influenced by his inflammatory speeches and starts killin gays.
Would support Hitler's propaganda speeches against Jews which led to the killing of millions.
The righteousness is not in supporting everything and anything, cause this should be called indifference, it is rather in supporting all what is ethical and condemning the rest.
@mustno3 Well the grand mufti of palestine did during WWII. You seem to think blasphemy is a crime like murder or genocide. Sorry to burst your bubble but blasphemy is not a legitimate crime.
You have no clue what freedom of speech is, and for that I feel sad for you.
You seem to think that I seem to think that blasphemy is a crime and that it is binding on non muslims too. Well that is the problem with "some" of you guys. You basically 1- think for us 2- are completely ignorant about us and 3- want to force your rules and culture on us.
Then you should know fellow human being that not having the same values as you and not believing in what you believe and not sharing your views is not a crime that muslims are committing.
@mustno3 1. I am simply responding to what you give me. 2. Again I am simply responding to the behavior that I see from muslims, are you so special you cannot be criticized? 3. If you live in the west you play by our rules, I dont go to other cultures and expect them to cater to my whims, again why should you be special?
I never said it was, but threatening death is. I have no hate for anyone, but if you threaten my life expect retaliation.
Disrespecting 1.5 billion people, for no reason other than disrespecting them, is not at all moral. In order to hate 1.5 billion people one should have REAL Good arguments to do so. Thinking they are all delusional is another silly arrogant mistake.
@mustno3 No the reason they did the draw mohammed day was because people made death threats. The problem with religious people is they cannot wrap their minds around the fact that non believers could care less about what you consider blasphemy. Only you are required o follow those rules, not non believers. If the faith of 1.5 billion people is so weak that a drawing can do such damage how can anyone take you seriously.
Its like watching children fighting on a playground.
@thequantumflux So basically what you are saying is that because two guys in your city had an argument with someone from my city. Our city has the right to attack and insult everyone in your city. Is that what you are saying. What kind of logic is that.
And no ... "religious people" do not think that our laws are binding on you. How can I make you understand that those who think so were are only a group of 5 amateur bloggers who call themselves revolution muslims and represent only themselves
". If the faith of 1.5 billion people is so weak that a drawing can do such damage how can anyone take you seriously."
You got it in the wrong way my friend. Actually it only shows that we take our religion seriously. Just like we take our families seriously. Just like you can not stand someone attacking your family, at least I hope you can't, we too cannot stand someone disrespecting our religion. You cannot blame us for taking religion seriously.
@mustno3 Showing distaste and argung the merits is fine, threats of violence are not. If someone insults my family I would probably insult them back, not physically attack them. And for the record revolution muslims group you mentioned are just an example. Lets not forget the cartoon riots, that was a lot more than a handful of people. This is a modern world and behavior like that doesnt help your cause.
@mustno3 LOL ok so you actually realized that your argument is weak so you turn to accusing me of wanting to make war on islam? Funny you use the word extremist, as far as I can see the majority of religious extremists tend to make stupid threats and harm people, while the majority of atheist extremists draw pictures and criticize.
If you talk to a wall your argument will definitely feel weak, because it is a wall which has no ability to interact with you nor to hear you. A wall is a wall.
As for the comparison it still holds. I interacted with people on both sides and I can recognize the commonalities. Muslim extremists think in only one direction, like trains. Atheist extremists think in only one direction too. Both will never accept auto-criticism. There you have your fair comparison.
@mustno3 That actually isnt a fair comparison. Unlike the muslim extremest, the atheist extremist doesnt leave a body count in their wake. Nor do they issue fatwas to kill people who criticize them.
Well actually you are right, it isn't a fair analogy. Extremist atheist do not feel oppressed at all, the majority of them live in secular modern rich western countries where they enjoy the rule of law, employment, justice and where they do not feel their land have been stolen or that they and their atheism are under daily attack from all over the world.
Cause extremist are nothing but the direct combined result of such frustrations.
Ignorance is not a vice. But being ignorant while not knowing that you are and boasting the opposite is indeed the biggest vice. It is called the Dunning–Kruger effect! and it is sad!!

@mustno3 LOL you cant delete comments on my video.

I kinda respect your video because you seem to be using one important part of your body which is your brain, even though it contained an insult to a dead man who is not around to defend himself
I do not support the violent reaction some muslims had about the danish cartoons, cause that's when it all started, since we never complained before
@mustno3 How did I insult a dead man? That is silly, people who have died were insulted by all kind of things, does that mean we should worry about insulting the dead?
Do you really want to know why most muslims protest when muhammad or islam is 'insulted', yet say nothing when muslim terrorists kill innocent people?
muhammad himself said, "Silence is consent."
muslims will *always* side with muslims. It doesn't matter if the muslim is a terrorist & the non-muslim is an innocent. In islam, muslims always come first. muhammad was an arrogant, egotistic warlord, a perfect example (33:21), so it shouldn't surprise that so are his followers.
go to google ... type muslims denounce terrorism and click the first link. Let me know how long is the list. and whether or not you heard about it in your media ...
when 5 morons calling themselves ironically revolution muslims leave a stupid comment on some website ... all of your media is on alert ... but when hundreds of associations representating the whole spectrum of islam speak out against terrorism they keep quiet ... it doesn't sell ... peace is boring ... fear sells
@mustno3 its not just a handful of dumb bastards that caused all the damage during the riots or filled the streets of london calling for blood. No matter what you say that image doesnt help your cause and only further feeds into the stereotype that all muslims are violent. And of course flagging campaigns and attempts to silence dissent on YT and other places.
Muslims talk a good game but are unable to back it up, take care of your crazies and maybe islam will earn respect.
@ayatalkursi255 drawing a picture of muhammed is not hate speech, it is a taboo in islam no different that catholics not eating meat on fridays, and jews not doing anything on the sabbath. Religion has no special right not to be criticized.
@thequantumflux it's a form of communication that is directly offensive to an identifiable group. I'd say it counts as hate speech. Whether or not it's convicted as so, is another story.
@ayatalkursi255 YOU are forbidden from drawing mohammed, nonbelievers are not bound to your taboos. The only reason it is offensive is because it is a taboo in your faith. And while I sympathize with the sensitivity of muslims to the west not obeying their taboos, this is the west were freedom of speech and thought trumps religion any day.
Sorry pal but your taboos carry no weight in the west
@thequantumflux This is not about CAN someone do something or not, everyone has free-will. It's about SHOULD someone do that.
If someone drew a picture of your Mom specifically with a bomb strapped to her head, wouldn't you get offended? Would you not defend your mom and at least say something about it? Really would you sit back and say, "well it's their free speech" instead of defending her honor?
@ayatalkursi255 I'm not defending whether they should or not, I am defending their right to say what they feel, with in reason. You seem to think that because it is forbidden for you it should be forbidden for all. If you want to protest, you have that right, if you want to threaten then expect a backlash.
You have yet to convince me this is hate speech, though you have done a fine job of showing how thin a skin you have.
@thequantumflux This is the same principle. But some people don't care who they offend, because most of the time, those people just want attention any way they can get it - positive attention or negative attention, doesn't matter. They don't have compassion for other people because they are too busy being selfish, greedy, and disrespectful to care about others. Sadly, most of the time it's for fame, fortune, or both.
@ayatalkursi255 And like lemurs going over the edge muslims will make a big deal out of it and increase the popularity of the show. Well done. Even people who didnt like south park are defending it because they refuse to be told what to think or say in their country. The threats do nothing but turn those people further against the muslims, and legitimize the stereotypes that they are backwards.
@thequantumflux I do not condone threats of violence. However, I take the stance that Allah is the best to punish. People can say what they want and think what they want...this is not the point. My point is it's hate speech.
Hate Speech - A term for speech intended to degrade, intimidate, or incite violence or prejudicial action against someone based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, or disability. The term covers written as well as oral communication.
@ayatalkursi255 so then you condemn a cleric if he speaks ill of non believers? Do you call them out before the group and let them know they are speaking hate speech? Or do you just not say anything?
The definition of hate speech is a problem in america because it constantly is at odds with the first amendment. But again you miss the point the guys in south park weren't treating muslims any different than anyone else they mock. Yet i don't remember the mormons threatening anyone with death.
@thequantumflux I don't know any muslims who speak ill of non believers, but if one did, the correct approach would be to correct them in private. Alienating a person amongst a large group only makes the situation worse.
If we were to be able to go back to the founding fathers and ask them if they thought hate speech should be permissible under the constitution, I doubt they would agree.
@ayatalkursi255 But then again most were deists and wouldnt hold the same respect for religion as you do. In fact many spoke out against it in what then was considered insulting and "hateful" by some.
@thequantumflux criticism is fine. Everything is subject to criticism, but our founding fathers were more respectful of that, even if some were atheists.
@ayatalkursi255 there is a difference between deists and atheists. One believes in a god one does not. And Thomas Jefferson was considered very rude when he created his own bible, which meant removing all the magic and nonsense. You should read more history.
@thequantumflux I know there is a difference. Even if there were different opinions among the founding fathers, they didn't go around drawing people in bear suits and with bombs strapped to their heads.
@ayatalkursi255 And since when is drawing someone in a bear suit a hate crime? Because it is blasphemous? Blasphemy has no weight when it comes to free speech. And the founding fathers would have taken the side of freedom of expression over a religious taboo.
You do realize that you have been arguing over someone being blasphemous, thats what it comes down to really. You are upset because people blasphemed according to your faith. a faith that holds no weight over the west.
The point you continue to miss over and over again is that your religion has no control over our choices, our lives and that is one thing a religion cannot have. Christians at least have learned that making a big deal over something like a chocolate jesus is only going to encourage that behavior. when will muslims learn that the more you try to force people to respect your beliefs the less they will and the nastier they will get.
@thequantumflux If you understood who the enemy is, you would not be discussing this with me. Spite is the only thing that grows from people intentionally trying to incite any type of ill feelings. I am not arguing about someone being blasphemous, my point is that people will do anything for a little attention, and sometimes what people do EVEN if it's protected by law, doesn't make it right.
@ayatalkursi255 Never said it made it right just said it is protected by the 1st amendment. I feel no need to incite hatred toward anyone, but at the same time if we censor speech where does it end?
@thequantumflux The way it stops it for people to figure out that are smarter than us. This is what our congress is for...to come up with solutions to problems and fix them and to even forsee problems and fix them before they happen as a preventative measure. Sorry, I was being short with you on the stats link...I tried several times and it kept saying error, try again. I'll message you.
@thequantumflux The difference now is that muslims actually stand up for what they believe in. Some maybe not in an appropriate way, but still, at least we honor our respected leaders. If christians don't have a problem with Jesus, pbuh, being mocked, that's their perrogative.
@thequantumflux The completely absurd thing about it is that people have jumped off of the morals and ethics ship and swam out into a sea of hate, confusion, and disorientation. They actually think behaving in that way is accpetable. It's not, even if it's legal. Prostitution is legal, and it's a horrific tell tale sign of the morality of the people.
@ayatalkursi255 No I disagree, you claim that legal prostitution shows the morals of a culture? No my friend the way you treat your criminals is how you tell the morality of a culture. If you treat your criminals in a brutal and barbaric way then that is the morality of your culture. It shows the value you give human life. And the most repressive and brutal govts tend to be religiously based.
I'll take freedom of speech over supernatural superstitions any day.
@thequantumflux lol, you're saying that and the USA still has their illegal prison in Guantanamo, which is a direct violation of our constitution? lol, that's a bit hypocritical. The crime statistics show that the more religious the nation, the less crime, hence less prisoners...the US has the highest incarceration rate in the world.
@ayatalkursi255 actually the least religious country Sweden has the lowest crime rate higher social health. In fact the study shows that ""high levels of organic atheism are strongly correlated with high levels of societal health, such as low homicide rates, low poverty rates, low infant mortality rates, and low illiteracy rates, as well as high levels of educational attainment, per capita income, and gender equality."
@thequantumflux Sweden may be an exception because of the wealth distribution there, also, it could be that they prefer to kill themselves than other people.
@ayatalkursi255 no japan, norway, finland all have hogher rates of secularism and also have a higher quality of life. When you dont believe in an afterlife you tend to make this life better since its th only one you have. You dont see young girls being forced back into a fire in japan for not wearing an abaya, but you do in mecha saudi arabia though. You dont see child brides bleeding to death because of sex in finland but you do in yemen. It would seem that religious countries are worse off.
@thequantumflux Japan, Finland, and Norway, must not be that great. Their suicide rates are even higher than the USA. They'd rather be worm food than live out their "secularism" and "higher quality of life".
Sure, there is corruption everywhere in the world, but the secular countries seem to take the cake when it comes to things like: murder, rape, assault, drug problems, suicide, kidnappings, etc.
@ritchloui Case in point. Islam has NOTHING to do with satanism or child molesting and is not a "death cult." But some people don't care who they offend, because most of the time, those people just want attention any way they can get it - positive attention or negative attention, doesn't matter. They don't have compassion for other people because they are too busy being selfish, greedy, and disrespectful to care about others. Sadly, most of the time it's for fame, fortune, or both.
ayatalkursi255 1 year ago
@ayatalkursi255 And like lemurs going over the edge muslims will make a big deal out of it and increase the popularity of the show. Well done. Even people who didnt like south park are defending it because they refuse to be told what to think or say in their country. The threats do nothing but turn those people further against the muslims, and legitimize the stereotypes that they are backwards.
thequantumflux 1 year ago
@thequantumflux I do not condone threats of violence. However, I take the stance that Allah is the best to punish. People can say what they want and think what they want...this is not the point. My point is it's hate speech.
Hate Speech - A term for speech intended to degrade, intimidate, or incite violence or prejudicial action against someone based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, or disability. The term covers written as well as oral communication.
ayatalkursi255 1 year ago
@ayatalkursi255 so then you condemn a cleric if he speaks ill of non believers? Do you call them out before the group and let them know they are speaking hate speech? Or do you just not say anything?
The definition of hate speech is a problem in america because it constantly is at odds with the first amendment. But again you miss the point the guys in south park weren't treating muslims any different than anyone else they mock. Yet i don't remember the mormons threatening anyone with death.
thequantumflux 1 year ago
@thequantumflux I don't know any muslims who speak ill of non believers, but if one did, the correct approach would be to correct them in private. Alienating a person amongst a large group only makes the situation worse.
If we were to be able to go back to the founding fathers and ask them if they thought hate speech should be permissible under the constitution, I doubt they would agree.
ayatalkursi255 1 year ago
@ayatalkursi255 But then again most were deists and wouldnt hold the same respect for religion as you do. In fact many spoke out against it in what then was considered insulting and "hateful" by some.
thequantumflux 1 year ago
@thequantumflux criticism is fine. Everything is subject to criticism, but our founding fathers were more respectful of that, even if some were atheists.
ayatalkursi255 1 year ago
@ayatalkursi255 there is a difference between deists and atheists. One believes in a god one does not. And Thomas Jefferson was considered very rude when he created his own bible, which meant removing all the magic and nonsense. You should read more history.
thequantumflux 1 year ago
@thequantumflux I know there is a difference. Even if there were different opinions among the founding fathers, they didn't go around drawing people in bear suits and with bombs strapped to their heads.
ayatalkursi255 1 year ago
@ayatalkursi255 And since when is drawing someone in a bear suit a hate crime? Because it is blasphemous? Blasphemy has no weight when it comes to free speech. And the founding fathers would have taken the side of freedom of expression over a religious taboo.
You do realize that you have been arguing over someone being blasphemous, thats what it comes down to really. You are upset because people blasphemed according to your faith. a faith that holds no weight over the west.
thequantumflux 1 year ago
The point you continue to miss over and over again is that your religion has no control over our choices, our lives and that is one thing a religion cannot have. Christians at least have learned that making a big deal over something like a chocolate jesus is only going to encourage that behavior. when will muslims learn that the more you try to force people to respect your beliefs the less they will and the nastier they will get.
As I said before you are your own worst enemies.
thequantumflux 1 year ago
@thequantumflux If you understood who the enemy is, you would not be discussing this with me. Spite is the only thing that grows from people intentionally trying to incite any type of ill feelings. I am not arguing about someone being blasphemous, my point is that people will do anything for a little attention, and sometimes what people do EVEN if it's protected by law, doesn't make it right.
ayatalkursi255 1 year ago
@ayatalkursi255 Never said it made it right just said it is protected by the 1st amendment. I feel no need to incite hatred toward anyone, but at the same time if we censor speech where does it end?
thequantumflux 1 year ago
@thequantumflux The way it stops it for people to figure out that are smarter than us. This is what our congress is for...to come up with solutions to problems and fix them and to even forsee problems and fix them before they happen as a preventative measure. Sorry, I was being short with you on the stats link...I tried several times and it kept saying error, try again. I'll message you.
ayatalkursi255 1 year ago
@ayatalkursi255 I wish I could have the confidence that congress would use some common sense.
thequantumflux 1 year ago
@thequantumflux The difference now is that muslims actually stand up for what they believe in. Some maybe not in an appropriate way, but still, at least we honor our respected leaders. If christians don't have a problem with Jesus, pbuh, being mocked, that's their perrogative.
ayatalkursi255 1 year ago
@thequantumflux The completely absurd thing about it is that people have jumped off of the morals and ethics ship and swam out into a sea of hate, confusion, and disorientation. They actually think behaving in that way is accpetable. It's not, even if it's legal. Prostitution is legal, and it's a horrific tell tale sign of the morality of the people.
ayatalkursi255 1 year ago
@ayatalkursi255 No I disagree, you claim that legal prostitution shows the morals of a culture? No my friend the way you treat your criminals is how you tell the morality of a culture. If you treat your criminals in a brutal and barbaric way then that is the morality of your culture. It shows the value you give human life. And the most repressive and brutal govts tend to be religiously based.
I'll take freedom of speech over supernatural superstitions any day.
thequantumflux 1 year ago
@thequantumflux lol, you're saying that and the USA still has their illegal prison in Guantanamo, which is a direct violation of our constitution? lol, that's a bit hypocritical. The crime statistics show that the more religious the nation, the less crime, hence less prisoners...the US has the highest incarceration rate in the world.
ayatalkursi255 1 year ago
@ayatalkursi255 actually the least religious country Sweden has the lowest crime rate higher social health. In fact the study shows that ""high levels of organic atheism are strongly correlated with high levels of societal health, such as low homicide rates, low poverty rates, low infant mortality rates, and low illiteracy rates, as well as high levels of educational attainment, per capita income, and gender equality."
thequantumflux 1 year ago
@thequantumflux Sweden may be an exception because of the wealth distribution there, also, it could be that they prefer to kill themselves than other people.
ayatalkursi255 1 year ago
@ayatalkursi255 no japan, norway, finland all have hogher rates of secularism and also have a higher quality of life. When you dont believe in an afterlife you tend to make this life better since its th only one you have. You dont see young girls being forced back into a fire in japan for not wearing an abaya, but you do in mecha saudi arabia though. You dont see child brides bleeding to death because of sex in finland but you do in yemen. It would seem that religious countries are worse off.
thequantumflux 1 year ago
@thequantumflux Japan, Finland, and Norway, must not be that great. Their suicide rates are even higher than the USA. They'd rather be worm food than live out their "secularism" and "higher quality of life".
Sure, there is corruption everywhere in the world, but the secular countries seem to take the cake when it comes to things like: murder, rape, assault, drug problems, suicide, kidnappings, etc.

@ayatalkursi255 OK so post the studies you're quoting.
