I'm writing a Hellraiser fanfiction with a box similar to this one (only in shape and a few movements). How would you describe the process of getting to all those "star" transformations? Would it be possible to get from a triangle to the "multiple cross" formation in one move?
....go buy some clay, make a model and slice it as you need it to see what you can do. Best way to think 3 dimensional is to work 3 dimensional. Sounds stupid but it works to help visualize it better and see what won't work.
I know that the symbols for the elements are all triangles. Does the "goof" have something to do with the reversal of elements/heaven and hell/pain and pleasure/good and evil/etc.?
I am very interested in ZAOS, Nibiru, Elennin and in Atlantis. Does anyone know where it exactly was located ? It cant be in the Atlantic Ocean cause it is to deep and there is to much vulcanic activity on the oceanbodem. I am dutch, so answer me in dutch, german or english.

you could easily make like a million bucks if you you actually replicate the configuration in your video into an actual item. metallic with the gears inside and has the ability to move in every which way we saw in the video. something the hellraiser crew has yet to do!

And those capable of solving the puzzles, are they the ones with desires that are capable of pure chaos? Hence the 'seperation' of ordinary Hell and Labryinth being reserved for those solvers.
So have the desire to open the Atlantean Tetramorph, will lead one to tortures infinite times worse than those of a Lamentation Configuration which I'm sure is worse than just going straight to Hell without solving it. Hell is for those to simply be tortured, but to go to the Labyrinth is to be subject to experimentations of pain so intense that its indivisible from pleasure, where time doesn't exist. That's my thoughts on the whole mythos.
@Aldaraia666 0_0 That's a scary thought. However, hell is also a place separate from time, and is eternal. Eternity can be thought of as the here and now in which the thinking of time cease to exist. In a place such as the Labyrinth, you may still have a perception of "time", but it's distorted to the extreme; due to the confounding and unthinkable amount of pain. Physical pain is a feeling our body produces to protect us. Torture of the spirit may be completely different and horrifying.

could also have to do with it being a sun that failed so its the mirror of our own. Saturn was the ruler of the underworld. It has it's own metal assigned. We can see it with the naked eye at night...

I saw Hellraiser two years ago, and when I saw this little thing, I honestly think Pinhead and the Cenobites are gonna gun for my ass pretty damn soon, like when I fall asleep.
TurboCad for the original model. Carrara for tweaking the models. UVmapper to put the design on the model. Poser 7 to do the animation and model stuff. Roxio, iMovie and iDVD to edit the animation and some sound programs to tweak effects.
I'm working on new tutorials to answer everyones questions and show the how to's of how I can knock out so many of these and hopefully inspire a new line of would be designers.
they're all my babies. they're all special. this one was my first "long" animation and very complex. I bet if I went back and redid it, it would take a few days instead of three weeks and would look a lot better now that I have a better grasp of modeling and UVmapping.
Last time I checked the cenobites (the guys that are summoned by at least one of LeMarchand`s Puzzleboxes) don`t care what your world view is. So you don`t have to be a demon-worshipper to play with the puzzle-box or to have a interest in doing so. Their sole interests are the pleasures and agonies of flesh. You should watch the Hellraiser movies one day. Especially the first two. They have many strange sights ready for you.
And the cenobites them selves... Well angels to some...

A very intelligent question! I am not a satanist or anything dark other then a dark artist, pun intended. I have always seen beauty in everything. There's an old saying "Good is not always right and evil is not always ugly" You need both to appreciate life. Satan as I recall is a mistranslation for the bible. Book of Job where Yahweh answers an angel who is called "hasatan" which means "the questioner. Satan is an invention of the church, and not to burst your bubble...they twist things around.
From what I can gather, there's no complete track for it. Its simply the chiming melody used in the "Lament Configuration" (Not sure if its unique to that specific box).
The longest sample I've found plays in the track "Seduction and Pursuit" from the Hellraiser film. Sadly, it only lasts a few seconds, but I guess its supposed to be a brief and bittersweet herald to the mad things the puzzle-solver is about to encounter.
There's a goof here; when the thing is first shown, the central black triangle is facing the other way from the outer three triangles, but then moments afterwards when the first face starts working, they all face the same way. Then it ends facing the same way, but after, the triangle switches AGAIN

Yo that was SICK!! I loved it when the triangle literally rearranged itself to form a star-like shape near the end. Man if only people couple replicate the puzzle boxes from Hellraiser exactly (Minus the chains and demons =P) and make unique ones like this. I would TOTALLY buy them!

I'm thinking, if you just ran into someone in TV/movie-land looking for tricky puzzle work, this looks pretty slick. Tomb Raider, Alias, Raiders of the lost Snark, ... there are tv/movie things that've been done that have placement for tricky puzzle work, I'm just not sure if one can be a "puzzle consultant" for a show.
If I was *actually* a producer, I'd know where to look now :^)

From what I can gather, there's no complete track for it. Its simply the chiming melody used in the "Lament Configuration" (Not sure if its unique to that specific box).
The longest sample I've found plays in the track "Seduction and Pursuit" from the Hellraiser film. Sadly, it only lasts a few seconds, but I guess its supposed to be a brief and bittersweet herald to the mad things the puzzle-solver is about to encounter.

There's a goof here; when the thing is first shown, the central black triangle is facing the other way from the outer three triangles, but then moments afterwards when the first face starts working, they all face the same way. Then it ends facing the same way, but after, the triangle switches AGAIN

Yo that was SICK!! I loved it when the triangle literally rearranged itself to form a star-like shape near the end. Man if only people couple replicate the puzzle boxes from Hellraiser exactly (Minus the chains and demons =P) and make unique ones like this. I would TOTALLY buy them!

This reminds me of some of the plot-tools from the ABC show, Alias.
I'm thinking, if you just ran into someone in TV/movie-land looking for tricky puzzle work, this looks pretty slick. Tomb Raider, Alias, Raiders of the lost Snark, ... there are tv/movie things that've been done that have placement for tricky puzzle work, I'm just not sure if one can be a "puzzle consultant" for a show.
If I was *actually* a producer, I'd know where to look now :^)
