I played the remake of this on gamecube, I never knew there was an old version of it. The old versions of resident evil video games are better, they're scarier, more challenging, there's more mystery and suspence and it's good like the remakes but there's something about the old ones that are better.

The Resident Evil movie has almost nothin to do with the original RE game of 1996. And Alice is an character which only appears in the movies. The only woman in the game is Jill Valentine.

and claire and wesker i think. there were more game characters in the 3rd movie i think. i can't remember. correct me if i'm wrong. but they were so out of place and the games do not continue from the movies either. they are 2 separate stories almost.

I havent seen the 3 rd movie. But I heard from many people that there out of place. Even in the 2nd movie Jill had black hair(originally she has brown) and the USS forces in the movie had motorcycle helmets(originally in game: Gasmasks) Its right there are 2 seperate stories. I dont want to complain about the movies but as RE-fan I had expected an real story. But if you want an RE movie which fits with the real RE, watch "RE: Degeneration"

The silent hill movie was okay, but as far as the story goes, it butchered the silent hill far worse than the Resident Evil movies butchered the Resident Evil story.
