I'm 30....and I have to admit...though it doesn't surpass Transformers The Movie(1986 animated movie, not the Michael Bay abominations), TF Animated is the superior TV show. It has character arcs , death, redemption, corruption--can't say I'm a huge fan of the drawing style, and having Optimus _not_ be a father figure is disconcerting, but...G1 comes in at second now, for me.

Personally I don't like the new art direction of this series I prefer the classic g1 series where they actually looked like they were mechanical at least. It seems all animations these days are drawn like this which seems slap dash to me. Admittedly back in the day animations would have parts of characters coloured incorrectly or some odd pop-in but at it's core it was drawn in a more realistic manner. At least anime still retains somewhat to these values I've described.
