You can't always get your arrows back. Sometimes they will bounce off of objects and you can pick them up off the ground, sometimes you can recover them from dead bodies that you kill, and sometimes they're just gone. I assume that the game is programmed to have them "break" and thus be unrecoverable. Later on there's a perk in Archery that lets you recover more arrows. That helps out quite a bit.  Otherwise you'll often be using more than you're looting back and will need to buy new ones.

if you press f you can favourite a weapon ,than you can open the favourite ( maybe with f too dont know exactly) menu which is much quicker than go into the weapon menu again

Also, pressing alt makes your character run faster and holding mouse1,2 or both, allows you do a power attack. You can also hit with your shield, and completely avoid attack because of that. block with shield then press mouse 1. Just a few tips, hope you read them Steve.

Steve. Colelct stuff that doesnt weight much and have lots of value. Like that robe you ignored after first lockpicking cage. Also its good idea to press f5 to save every few minutes if shit goes down and troll attacks you :D

I just say that some of the arrows break when they go in and somtimes they don't......idk wtf that's all abot....but there is a perk that you can get to where you can get 50% more arrows back from fallen enemies

Hey Steve, I play Skyrim on PC too but I find playing with an Xbox 360 Controller is much more enjoyable, I don't know why, it's just that all the buttons are more easy to get to and for me it gets the job done better then using my keyboard. I'd suggest you give it a try (if you can) and see if it works for you too, if not, you can just go back to using your keyboard :)

In my opinion I think u should of started of with a redguard because they are a really good race with dual weild weapons and if you want to complete the game I reconmend leveling to about 5 or 6+ because the dragons in this game are hard but that is just my opinion and well I hope it helps

Dear steve: arrows can break, and gravity

makes them fall to the ground. Sneak attack does 2x dmg with a bow and the guardian stones give you 20% increase in fight mage or stealth skills.

@SteveSchwindt Steve I can tell that you havent played much of the elder scrolls series but heres a couple tips; Talk to everyone, they give quests and tons of useful info. Dont talk to people with your weapon drawn as your in game "charisma" goes down. Use the favourites button to equip weapons and such so you dont have to keep going to the items screen. Its like hot keys.

Hi Steve, just a pro tip for you, you can favorite weapons and armor, by going into inventory and clicking F on them, and then you can click, F I believe to open a menu when youre out of your inventory and open the favourite menu and give them numbers so you can quick select them by clicking that number :)

@SteveSchwindt you can only retrieve some of the arrows you shoot into a person/animal. If they fall on the ground, you can pick them up (if you can find them), otherwise, you have to retrieve them from a body. There is an archery perk which allows you to retrieve more than normal, but you don't need to worry about that yet (or at all - you come across plenty of arrows, no need to waste a perk on that one!)
