As a musician i can say that one can't really help how their composing style changes. Sometimes i write music, and i'm like "where the FUC# did THAT come from?!" I'm not saying i don't like papa roaches old stuff. i love it. I'm just saying that they can't really help it. Forcing oneself to produce a style you don't naturally do any more, it just sounds like SH!T

This answers my question. haha, I remember my friend showed me "Last Resort" and I was hooked; I thought it was a dope track. Then I looked on youtube, later, and saw songs like "Hollywood Whore," and I was a little confused, though I did also find "Between Angels and Insects," which was also a really cool song. I gotta look deeper and I know what to look for, now.

Alright, I'll check out "Infest" and the stuff they did before that. Thanks for the info...on this and Black Eyed Peas, lol.

It's not that the band have gotten worse, they release albums with different genres and sounds to show how variable their musical talents are, and that they can pull off different styles. They still play their old stuff live, they just have to evolve as a band!!

And about them rocking out their older stuff; well yeah, they do that, but not on all the songs, when I saw them live Coby rapped a few songs out and it was just as good as, or maybe even better than, back in 90's early 00's, But at the end of the day, it's all down to peoples own preferences and opinions, I love all of their music, so I guess I'm lucky in a way.

But anyways, yeah OFFYY and before that.. its like cool listening to them from like before.. Infest was great... LoveHateTragedy was great, and after that it was just changing alot i dont mind their new stuff, but i hope they go back to their roots. With their "Time for Annialation" Coby said it was gonna be almost the second part to "Getting away with murder" Hopefully they will go back after that album.

you 'r right they became simpler and that is maybe also the reason why they became more sucessfull cause if the stuff is simple there will be defnetly more people listening to this music then the lyrics are too personal there is only a little ammount of people feeeling the lyrics

So...you turn on PR simply because they changed up their sound? Am I the only one who sees how stupid that is? A LOT of bands change up their sounds. It's called 'evolving'. As times change, so does music. They didn't turn their back on their fans, and they didn't "try to appease MTV". I've seen them on MTV ONCE, not counting when Jacoby was the host of Scarred. Don't diss on bands who haven't done anything wrong. Make one about Fall Out Boy, or Metallica. But not PR.

Sorry, I've literally given Papa Roach my heart for years. Obviously at one point I was a hardcore fan. Yeah, I am pissed that they dumbed down their sound. Its irritating. If they happen to be one of your favorite bands, sorry but that's my opinion. i honestly think they suck now and make music for stations like Z100.

I can understand why you're upset that they've changed as a band; a lot of older fans are. But their new stuff opened doors for new fans. I've been a fan for years, and I like both their new stuff and their old stuff. And if I was disrespectful, that's not how I meant to come off sounding like. But PR literally saved my life--that's not even a joke. So I felt that I had to give my opinion as well.
