The writing and delivery of this show is what absolutely sold it. The dialogue is astounding beyond belief. Better than the writing of any other show I've ever watched, even The Simpsons and The West Wing. And the way the two were put together...if you look up a Seinfeld script and read it, it seems very bizarre and unfunny. If you imagine the characters saying it, however, it's hilarious. Never doubt the power of either writers or actors to sell a line.

As funny as the premise of this sketch is, it's the acting that really drives it home. Even with something so twisted and bizarre, Jerry so matter-of-factly says, "Now I should tell you..."

But perhaps even better is the way George reacts. First, the disbelief. He knows Jerry so well that he expects him to be disingenuous or just punking him. But then, after that, the way he pauses and processes the marine biologist thing...classic. Jason Alexander is one hell of an actor.
