  • men can do it as well

  • ahh i got mine dun yesterday, and an indian did am 2 lol, now they look like nina dobrevs lmao :)

  • found out today about eyebrow threading, never had my eyebrows done before. 10 dollers later I actually like my eyebrows for the first time. Little bit of pain and watery eyes, but well worth it. Deffently get it done again.

  • ur eye brows look great

  • I am in Toronto, Canada. Here, the price range is from $3 to $6. It is most expensive in areas where the salon is in indivduality. If salons' are clustered, the price tend to be cheaper. But at any case, it is no more then $6. It shouldn't cost you $10 because I am an esthetician myself and it only takes about 5 minuites for depilation of hair and area massage, therefore should be inexpensive, atleast in my opinion! take care!

  • hmmm. i agree it should be too expensive. i can't find a place for less than 10 here in KC. makes me sad. I've just gone without for most of this summer because of it ;-)

  • you should have done a before and after picture

  • yeah...i think I did in another video like this. would have been good for this one too though, you're right ;-)

  • where can i get my eyebrows threaded?

  • you'll just have to look in the phone book or something. every city is different. :( I still haven't found a good place in my new city, and i had several places I could go in Tampa.

  • An Indian salon or spa near you should have this service. Maximum price is $6, could be cheaper. Goodluck!

  • ive never paid less than $10 for the service. in Tampa or Kansas City

  • i tend to get spots in the areas where the hair was removed...!! its really weird. has any1 experienced the same thing.?

  • sometimes I do too. what helps it using just water to wipe down afterwards, no powder or anything. and then using spot cream, before you go to bed. it may help :-)

  • Using witch hazel (a drugstore usually carry this item) will help calm and cool down the area treated. Make sure you take it with you when you are going for a threading session. It is most effective if applied right away. This should take care of those bumps. GL!

  • My hair is thick so I bleed when hair is pulled out the follicles. This is better for people with fine to normal hair if you have thick or coarse hair you might bleed. I got little dots or scabs where some of the hairs where pulled out guess they were scabs over the pores. They went away in a day or so though the finished result was good and no one else noticed the dots but me.

  • were these the first time the hairs had been pulled? The first time an eyebrow hair is pulled, it usually bleeds.

  • So does it hurt?

  • yes. it's not completely painless, but it's over pretty quickly :-)

  • I guess I'm glad I'm not a woman- there's too much involved. I didn't even know that eyebrow threading existed.

  • yeah, being a beautiful woman IS hard work! :-) lol this has been around for centuries, i've only used it in the last 5 ;-)

  • i know how to do this

    woo hoo

  • awesome :-)

  • i thought of trying threading too.. i see my friends do it and it looks pretty after being threaded!

  • ask your friends where they got their eyebrows done, and go there. it's hurts, but it's not that bad, and you can always tell them to stop to allow you to deal with it. It should only take about 5 minutes, and they'll look great! :-)

  • i'm going threading on monday!!! and i'm really worried about it! hahah

  • Does that hurt I have never seen that before I get my wax and it hurts every time

  • this took 5 minutes top. it's not painfree, but it's totally better, and less painful, than waxing! :-) my eyes water, but i don't cry :-)

  • What the heck is she doing ???? :)

  • pulling eyebrow hair out with white cotton thread to make my brows look good :-) I was blessed with my fathers brows, so they get bushy and unattractive :-)

  • Wow, she's got some skills. It's amazing how they do that. I may have to look into that instead of waxing. You look good!

  • thank you! :-) yah, waxin is NOT for me anymore! not after they ripped skin off my eyelid! :-) lol I bet there's a place in your area

  • Very interesting! I have never heard of this before. Thanks for sharing.

  • your welcome ;-) the do men too if you're interested in keeping your brows lookin good :-)

  • Haha I was wandering. I usually just have mine thined out every time I go get a hair cut.

  • You have great looking brows!! She made it look so easy to do and it 'looked' painless.. LOL

  • thanks! :-) I think brows MAKE the face, so I always try to keep mine lookin good. I kinda wish I knew how to do it, but I doubt husband would let me practice on him ;-)

  • Ouch, that gotta hurt!

    :-)

    x hugs x

  • it wasn't so bad actually. the waxing was always way worse. i only made pain face a couple of time ;-) *hugs*

  • First the eyebrows, next the moustache :)

  • you are lucky i love you. otherwise i'd be offended ;-) lol

  • I have never heard of that before... thats a tell tale sign that it's been a long long while since I was in a beauty salon!

  • lol this is an OLD technique. ancient even - i'd be willing to bet that Cleopatra herself got her eyebrows threaded :-)

  • cool! Thanks for filming it and sharing it! I wish I had more eyebrows to make it worth trying, b/c I never get the shape right either! I want to know how they get such a perfect shape that way!

  • they sell kits at sephora with the shape to follow if you have to use pencils n stuff to add to your brows. my mom has really thin brows, has to draw hers own ;-)

  • Ruthie this is an art. I'm a Hairdresser and would love to learn how to do this. I'm going to look into it. The only thing that disturbed me is that it was done right in front of everyone and not in a private setting. Was that a request by you? Just a thought...

    (((Hugs)))

    ~Mimi

  • nope, that's just how it is there. I guess there's prolly a private setting too, since they do more delicate stuff there, but heck the first place I had it done, was in the middle of the walkway at a mall! :-) you should so look into how to do it :-) it's getting very popular! :-)

  • That was really neat to watch. Was the center thread held in her mouth? Your eyebrows look great too.

I heard threading REALLY hurts but you didn't look uncomfortable at all.

  • yah, it was in her mouth :-) thank you, it was ALL her. it wasn't too bad. the worst is when they rip out several hairs at once. but waxing ALWAYS rips loads of hair out, and i won't risk skin off my eyelid again ;-)

  • I've never seen that before.

Does it hurt less than waxing?

  • it hurts less than waxing. the last time i had my brows waxed they got some wax on my eye lid and ripped skin off. I'm NEVER doing that again! :-)

  • Wow facinating! I only use tweezers! You look great!

  • i tweeze inbetween gettin em threaded. but i can't make a good brow to save my life. i always f em up, if i don't have a good base to follow ;-)

  • Ummmm ouch! But wow what a skill it takes i would imagine to do that!

  • i know, i almost want to learn how to do it! :-)

  • OMG! OUCH! Im so bad...i dont do my eyebrows.

They did come out great. My co-workers do it all the time. Maybe one day i will brave it out. Never had seen the way they do them. Intresting how the string goes from side to side. That is an art form. LOL

  • it's totally an art form! :-) i love the way they look after ;-) it really don't hurt that bad. i mean it's not painless, but it's fairly low pain :-)

  • thats kewl

  • thanks! :-)
