  • best years of my life were at easterhouse adventure playground as my dad worked there for ten years

  • Best wishes to Donald Anderson who collapsed yesterday with a lung infection whilst visiting his friend Joe Graham in hospital. He`s on oxygen and quite short of breath but trying to make light of it (as usual) Get well soon Donald!

  • Frankie Vaughan also came to our school ST, Bernadette's i remember i won the raffle that he drew . i spent many a happy day at the adventure playground it had the best zip line ever . we moved to Ireland in the early 0970s but we knew great people there .

  • moved to easterhouse 1960 when 2 wks old when us kids were 8 or 9 we used to sneak to lochend pitches and watch gangs fight, police were also there but only picked up stragglers after fight.i was never in a gang to scared of ma maw to join people dont realise a vast majority of kids were not in gangs so no frankie Vaughan project for us,i remember trying to get into that corrugated monstrosity one night and was chased by the thugs it was built for, nowhere for decent lads to go,same old story..

  • matt genius

  • @sixtiesarewe Matt wrote a song for my wife and I when we got engaged

  • This was no publicity stunt. Frankie put his money where his mouth was and helped build the Easterhouse Project.

  • I met Frankie many years ago, unlike many so-called present day staars, he was a selfless gentleman

  • ha ha! frankie vaughan,he came up to glasgow to preech to the glasgow neds!
