This movie and others of it's ilk were made by a country using every means at it's disposal to bring itself into a modern era, with almost nothing to work with. The speech was adapted to English in order to widen it's market, but was made for it's own people. The characters seem fantastic, but look at Gamera ,Mothra, Rodan and others. These people turned the ordinary into fantasy and then into money with which to rebuild. Only fools mock success.

To all viewere ; I am sure that their will be lot of mockery or redicule this movie simply because it is Japanese in all aspect ,english accent is of course Japanese after all it is not their mother tongue did it for at least by standard viewers can understand, now lets say make it all americans n use the actors such as the English Sean connery,or Harrison ford -Brad Pitt-Stephen Seagall(Lol)kathirina Zeta Jones and famous actresses of the same plot DO YOU THINK THE GENERAL PUBLIC WILL MOCK IT ?

@ceboym Yes: the general public would mock it, not because it is Japanese, but because the times and tastes have changed. I do not, because I saw it as a small child on American TV, and I remember it as being an excellent movie, very well done, with a timely message.
