I don't think that they used any real Countach's in this, just 3 kit cars (none were Fiero based), one didn't even have an engine.

@Ryoku75 that is correct, it may be a budget reason they never got a real contatch, but a trianed eye can tell theya re replicas, but still thaks to it being built on its own chassi and nto of a fiero it makes the car look proportinally correct to the real one, its body panels and the tailights that tells its not a real one.

I finally found this on VHS (no DVD's were made) and i can say i am a happy man....just as good as i remember it....such a good cast.... They modified another vehicle and removed the dirt ramp and it worked. Made it across and was still drivable but didnt look too good.

• The wheels are different when they go to the shot coming over the hill.

• The suspension isn't right, when they go to that shot, either.

• The front air dam is missing

• The left headlight is out of alignment.

Lamborghini did not become one of the world's most well known and sought after exotics by making a crap car, so the headlight wouldn't pop out of place just by doing a 180 degree turn.

If this film were remade today, the intro car would have to be a Bugatti Veyron, Lamborghini Reventon, or some other high dollar exotic. Not a Supra, not a Skyline, and not even the new Lexus LFA. It's just not the same. As much as I love some of today's Japanese sports cars, they're soul less and sterile compared to the adrenaline pumping excitement of the European exotics. Sorry Civic & STI lovers, you just don't have what it takes!!!

The Countach did, that car made police car chase scenes.

The only other car outside of a Lamborghini that could do it is a Zonda or a Mclaren F1.

I think with the right aero kit the Veyron could look pretty killer.

However, I will say that based on it's appearance alone, I don't think there has been an exotic since the Countach that has had such a striking reaction. And as much of a beast as they say it is to drive, LONG LIVE THE COUNTACH!!
