  • a very informative film, no matter what others might thank you for uploading.

  • I like this video. It was interesting to me. I think you guys should make more of this videos with many different story that relates to Africans history of wars, families dying, no father, no mother, just you and you little sister's or brother to live. I really thank you guys for comming up with these viddeos and stories. :)

  • @Peterson7able Thats right, we reall need more of these types of animated creative movies from a Black perspective.

  • I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE MORE OF MARK OF URU. VERY GOOD PLOT.

  • it's a pity mark of uru is so interesting

  • kinda good

  • shame it doesn't work past 3 minutes

  • Nice work. I like how the people move. Very cool.

  • Great piece of work

  • this movie is somethin i tell u

  • this movie is awsome

  • Is U Tube charging us fr watching the movies????

  • i had an impossible task to watch this video film. Every time I tried to wafch it would stop irretrievably within a few minutes which is a pity.because I really wanted to experience the african atmosphere generated by afrifan intellects.

  • @fz6734 try loading the video and pausing it for a few minutes before playing.

  • HATERS BE HATIN!

  • I like how much effort they put into this animation good job

  • You have the mark of Caesar.

    :New Vegas: :P

  • im in love with it yeeeeee.i know how hard animating in 3d is.i only do 2d

  • Thumbs up. Africananimation, I recommend that you mention that people can buy the dvd from Amazon in the description of the video. Especially if you would benefit from people buying the dvd. Also, was this animation made by Africans? I recommend mentioning that too.

  • Highly recommended viewing for the family.

  • I like how you guys took the situation of having limited recources(in terms of modeling/animation staff) and really focused in on one or two aspects to set a high bar for further improvements. 1st Characters/vehicles have a very distinct look seting it apart from other animation. 2nd as always you nigerians weave great(UNIQUE) stories with plots that pregress in a way that sets them apart from the western stories i grew up on

    .

I plan to buy/donate something soon to support your work

    Jamie

    U.S.A

  • @jonesjamie it is good that you can see how this is a great work. this is not a Pixar or Dreamworks production, but they have to be commended for producing such quality with little resources

  • @jonesjamie thank you for your comment. you can actually get the dvd on Amazon

  • @jonesjamie and you can get the Tshits too

  • @africananimation Tshits are awesome, i hardly ever get to see T shaped shits tho.

  • Ilove this movie

  • LOVE IT!!!

  • YOUTUBE VS NETFLIX=YOUTUBE WINS LOL

  • they cant even make the aspect ratio right.

  • Cool Is like a cideo game movie ahahahahaha I really liking it

  • Great work, particularly with the sound effects. Yoruba movie makers have a lot to learn from you on how to make use of background music and sound effects. These people just play loud music all through their movies, most times even drowning out the dialogs.

  • Why does it after go into a completely different movie?

  • Feeling this big time and think it should be shown on terrestrial and satellite TV

    Big up yourself Obinna!

  • Great Job!!! Keep up the great work.

  • luks like a video game

  • This is pure genius. Thumbs up to the people that made this.

  • Wow they animations are great! They have some beautiful black women in here.

  • What awards did this win? I couldn't really get into the story because the animation and voice acting were so bad.

  • @kewlbeanspx STOP PLAYA HATING M8, LETS SEE YOUR OWN!!!

  • all i can say is this is lovely

  • This... Is... Africa!!!

  • wow this is sooo nice. pls keep doing da good job. God bless you .

  • LOL!

  • I love it :)

  • I'm loving these ignorant comments about this film. Please read up on African culture especially before white settlement. Oh, and all the chauvinist who don't like seeing a black woman play a positive role that doesn't involve them taking their clothes off, kick rocks until your toes bleed. This is great story telling, and ya'll are too ignorant to look past your penis' to appreciate it

  • @LadyAbstract DANG GIRL....GO HARD...LOL

  • @LadyAbstract i loove your comment and i agree.

  • Let me get this straight, men are bad and momen are good in this movie? Okay that's just wrong.... So wrong...

  • Wow!!!!! Great Story and Animation!!!!! I Like This

  • Timberlandtim1 needs to appreciate that you created an African cartoon that shows the power of a real world show. Keep up the good work .BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!

  • Animation wey get nice boobs and straight legs lol

  • looooool wow go africa :)

  • I enjoyed all three tales, you did a great job. Waiting to see what comes next!

  • Good Job !! The video is good...

  • Good job Guys. Who made the video...

  • I know things like this don't come out of Africa very often but when they do, they are classic. Please don't stop the quality. This is great legends in the making and it's about time. Congratulations, my ancestors are proud.

  • @obeolojumeji now if they would just take out the cheatah cat man and replace him with a black man that would be super.

  • i enjoyed this tale so much. i have not seen african cartoon tale before. this is my first african tale. can we have more african tale please. woman power! i like that they used my language interchangeably. :)) thank you so much for posting it.

  • A tale of African stories where all the women have Eurocentric ideals of attractive. Nose not too big, lighter coloured eyes,... you get the point

  • @knickie1982 i think this is made to appeal more to whites than black people. all african noses are not super big but u are right about the eyes . they should be brown. western and white cultures have a multitude of heros and role models. it really dosnt help the situation when they produce african socalled tales with no positive black male role model.

it really sucked when i noticed all the black guys are the bad guys and the only good guy is a damn cheatah man. soo stereotypical

  • @knickie1982 I have to cut you off there, Africans DO NOT have big noses, contrary to what your TV has been telling you. Most Africans i have come across do have bright eyes.. This cartoon is African to the core.. trust me.

  • Uru, ah now i remember that name from the Lion King stories, she was Mufasa and Scar's mother. it's a Swahili name

  • Encore....I LOVE THE MARK OF URU!!! cant wait to see the rest of it... great work!....that is wat true child hood movies are about!..u knw the type u remember and still love as an adult...movies r losing that quality, but i feel u have it here!

  • @PilowTXtraFluffyEdt thumbs up

  • OH WOW....INGENIOUS.....I FEEL LIKE A KID AGAIN.....KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND MORE AFRICAN TALES.....

  • @chocobro77 thumbs up

  • i like the script. Good moral value lessons.

  • good movie

  • 16:02 lol oww!! it sounds computerized and at 30:31 he has a mask off and at 30:35 he doesnt and at 30:43 he does it really confused me because sometimes my computer messes up and it stops and rewinds the video so im clad im showing people

  • @527jeure spoiler

  • @africananimation SO let me get this straight. its an african tale where all black men are the bad guys and get defeated. the main character is two african women and some sort of cheatah humaNOID BEING.

so they would rather have a humanoid fictional cheatah cat man be the hero rather than just a regular black man?

id rather just watch an american film where we are killed off 30 seconds into the storyline and are portrayed as gangsters criminals and rapist.

  • @timberlandtim1 pay more attention to the story and you will see that it is not all the men that are villains

  • @africananimation if i have to look at it with a microscope just to see one black male positive character obviously you guys are not trying hard enough to push the positive black male image. when i watch a john wayne movie i dont have to pay attention to notice hes the good guy and he beats all bad guys.

  • @africananimation oh and a cheatah man dosnt count as a positive black male character.

    im just sayin

every other character isnt fictional ; )

  • @africananimation also the male characters are all weak and have absolutely zero personality. its like the same person did voice overs for all male characters.its like the males are robotic androids that all dress and act the same. while the female characters are the only ones that have personalities and take on active dynamic roles as the hero. the males just seem to fumble around the storyline without any direction or personality whatsoever.

  • @africananimation i can tell a lot of women must have produced this. there are a lot of underlying feminist themes that are borderline chauvinist toward the male characters importance. ; ) wheres the equality ladies? this reminds me of the powerpuff girls

  • @africananimation also ole gurls voice is soo deep she sounds like a man.

  • @timberlandtim1 if those characters can talk back to you, i guess they would be singing .... leave me alone... leave me alone.. it doesn't matter ... just beat it..

  • @timberlandtim1 I can understand your point. But sometimes in African tales when a man is half cheetah/man it means he acquired greater strength. The cheetah guy was probably human then transformed to the cheetah being and could go not back. It is all fiction. kids growing up in Africa know such tales leopard-men heroes. it all about the heart, the story suggest that we judge people by action not looks.

  • @alaga2007oke what im saying is that there are no significant black male characters in the entire film that are not bad guys. what kind of message does this say to black kids in america? it says that even in Africa they paint the black man as the villian. while the Good guys are A women, little girl and a cheetah/man. this cartoon virtually fails to uphold the character of the black male in society just as most western media does today where we only serve the purpose as gangsters and criminals

  • @alaga2007oke thats the kind of message it sends to children it merely reinforces that stereotype along with the overly masculine black female stereotype. so they went through the trouble of developing masculine female characters but no masculine male characters. even the badguys are smaller and less masculine than the main characters which are females. ??? lol you honestly dont see the hidden propaganda in this film??? a ten yearold gurl is the mightiest warrior in it for God sake.

  • @timberlandtim1 Then don't watch it. It's as simple as that,

  • @timberlandtim1 u got it wrong. the tale doesn't portray black men as "bad guys". instead it shows the power and strength of a good black man (the cheatah) and strong black women protecting the child. i think:)

  • @hannaxyz123 true talk

  • @timberlandtim1 it is the same as if you were wantching thunder cats or any other animation

  • @africananimation yeah it was great when the african warriors surrounded them and i was thinking wow i bet some baddass super black man african warrior is going to pop up and kick their butts. only to be disappointed when a stuffed cheatah doll popped up to play that part.

it is such a cheat to the black family

  • nice onehahahahahahahahaha funny

  • nice one

  • spectacular and absolutely brilliant.

  • lov this.. :)

  • Nicely done, but it would have been even better with more character development and less game-style fight scenes. Mark of Uru felt like a video game, with the plot just there to go from one fight scene to another.

  • @seadragon36 go read a book... if u wat char development...

    this goes hard

  • Excellent atmosphere. I like the over-exposure of the white in some parts. Gives it a real magical effect.

Sometimes the changes of scenes are difficult to follow, though.

But overall, very good and unusual. My compliments.

  • i loved the video but i hated the fact that the video ended so soon

  • You should add subtitles for everyone on the world can follow the film
