Not sure I understand... Why would people die from leaving the magnetic lines? Using a magnetic hoverboard and opposite polarity roads/sidewalks and highways such is the idea, you would only be a few inches off the ground. I can see some nasty road rash but no real death or major injuries.

Also, the moon rock itself doesn't cause the reduced gravity in space. It is the fact that the moon has a lower mass then the earth. If you brought it to earth, it would fall just like anything else. You are also mistaken on the fact that you float when you are at the moon. There is a reduced gravity so stuff still falls on the moon.

if u think about it to make things hover you would just have to pave the streets and what not in a magnetic material then make something with the opposite of that material and it hovers

well its alright guys in my studies of magnets i discovered that a certian ratio of gallium and platinum makes a magnet stronger than neodymodium possibly so strong that it could use the earth itself as a magnet! the only issue is cost of course...

Get a bit o cardboard, cut out a board shape, paint it, stick CDs on the bottom, put a couple o magents by the CDs for added decoration and now you can stand on it for days on end! But you ARE moving on the hover board you've just made! It's called the rotation of teh Earth! :D
