I've been using XBMC for 2 years so it was fairly easy for me, but there is a learning curve. I would go to the forums on xbmc.org and watch some videos here on youtube about setting up xbmc.

@2002whitegt ok does your bandwidth have anything to do with streaming?

Bandwidth is just transferred data. If you stream from your local network... i.e. a computer or Networked attached storage device connected to the same router as your xbmc machine, no the bandwidth provided by your internet service provider does not make a difference.

However if you are connected wirelessly to your router, 720p and 1080p content is not a perfect experience. I'd recommend using an ethernet connection.
