Have seen LCD Soundsystem live here in New York, and have to say: they are one of the few bands who are 100 times better sounding live than on record. The sound of the band and instruments does not record well, but live -- OMG do they sound amazing. One of the most exciting concerts I've ever seen.

LCD's sound is very much indebted to Talking Heads... but in their time TH pushed the sound so far ahead and brought with it innovative approaches to performance.

The "Stop Making Sense" DVD is a testament to that, and on stage performance is something Talking Heads surpasses LCD, thus far.
