What a joke this video is. The real people of Derry are the culture, not these theiving idiots who promoted Derry for City of Culture to line their own pockets and share the wealth amongst themselves. Derry city council is a joke. Two years rennovating the guildhall square for what? A leak. Not even a fountain. Idiots. They should have sent the same people who found culture in Derry to Iraq to find Weapons of mass destruction and saved the Americans a fortune.

@xx9100 Ach jees, do you not like to see your city get something for once? It doesn't matter if you think 'we dont deserve it' We had judges who looked at our city and picked us over the others. We won the City Of Culture because of all the people in Derry got behind it and supported it! Thats what they said that made Derry stand out. Keep the faith Dear

@xx9100 There's no town or city in the North worthy of being a city of culture. Belfast tries too hard to even be a city and fails miserably. Derry has just given up.

@mofobrofoshoable This is my business, and my issue. Belfast a city (joke) built on mud. They took everything possible out of Derry to build up Belfast as a city. Dublin is the only real city in Ireland. Derry and Belfast should just be demolished.

The City of Culture title appears to go to places with a record of homicide and violence. Glasgow, Liverpool and now Derry. A politically motivated decision which has nothing to do with Culture.

@bumble7 I agree with you. But Derry (Where I was born and grew up) is a terrible and depressing place. Now I love the Derry people, always great craic and an opinion on everything. But look around it! There's nothing at all inspiring or creative about Derry compared to any European city. Our history pre-dates most of them, yet we have nothing to show for it. You don't walk the streets of Derry and feel proud or motivated. Derry looks and feels like it's been left behind and nobody cares anymore
