Here in Washington we would get a ticket for taking that video because we picked a native fish out of the water... (considered native if it has it's adipose fin) I think I wan't to move to Wisconsin.. Every year we lose more and more opportunities yet the nets remain in the rivers. The rivers in Northern Puget Sound shut down in early February this year which is big fish time. Well wait and see if the nets stay out... Watch for video's
@fatfatcrap1... the skill is to make them take the bait, and you should know that knowing about sight fishing trout. In most streams where i fish only the kids and the non-english speakers snag and they get caught, its not even worth trying. I think you have a problem getting the spawning , finicky fish to take the bait and you salty about it.

In New York their are tons of small tributaries that branch of the Salmon river in which steel head are plentiful. The little salmon river at times you could jump across the stream. I hate small rivers though. Takes no skill to land a fish. Sight fishing is easy and lame. These guys prolly snagged a lot of their fish.
if i walked by that spot i would never think there were steelhead that size.. wow nice. come to where i live ;) we catch steelhead that size and bigger great old oswego ny :D
@modrique04 dude im from mexico ny and I fish the oswego river heavily. Im the kid thats down thier like everyday usually in a plaid blue hoodie. with a g loomis. I almost always use a green worm in that river. But this year 2010 flys are whats workin
isnt it great! I always fish trail but Im lookin at the calumet, but dont know anything about it There is just 2 much pressure on trail unless u really hike.
Indiana has creeks like that and they r slammin right now. An indiana summer stealhead is the wildest fish the world. yesterday I had 2 jump into the trees, they come an easy 5 foot out of the water. we call em skamania.
Your not kidding superkind, Been there the past few weeks and hooked up 9 times and still can't put one in the net. Had one jump eye-level with me twice in the first 5 seconds he was hooked! Logjams make landing fish almost impossible.
well done! bravi

i know a place were you can catch monster steelhead.
a little town called Port hope, there is a river that leads in to lake Ontario.
Evry summer they go up the river to spawn, and they can be from 15 - 50 pound salmon

Catch and release? WTF? Don't play with you food!
Oh, and don't hold fish up by the tail if you plan to release them. How'd you like to be suspended by the base of your backbone?

@Georooney shat the fuck up its fish its not a human baby stop crying he was sport enough to release it dont lecture someone how to hold a fish.
