There are two parallel runways here - the Delta's undercarriage is down and on the farthest runway from camera. It will have been on the ground for about 400/500 metres at this point. Optical illusion! The other runway is hidden by a slight rise in the grass, and can't be seen!
WOW! I have never seen an A340 Etihad at Manchester. I know it was diverted, but still, it's very rare to capture one. Nice video! What sort of camera do you have?
This a/c was not a divert, but an upgrade by Etihad and notified well in advance. You are not alone in thinking this - many others have made the same comment!
Etihad airways diverts many flights for different reasons. I was delayed over 24 hours, diverted to Al AIN and missed my connecting flight. the reason could have been that the passengers from the previous flight didnt get on the flight mayb due to aircraft problems. so they sent over their a340-600 to pick up all the passengers.
why was the a340 there?

look at 0:44..why is it the aircraft flying so low over the runaway?? is it Delta airline?/ the landing gear is not on the ground..
