  • @flypunk90 if it was rwd, it would even more likely do it. Because generally rwd cars use its tyres traction resourses better than fwd cars (because front wheels are overloaded with job in fwd), which may result in higher cornering speed and g-force in rwd cars. This difference may be quite liitle, but saying that a fwd car generally tends to roll in the corner more than rwd, is defenetly not true.

  • @Andrew09091990 I only said that it wouldn't do that cuz if it was rwd, at least it would slid over or sth, i drove all type of cars...

  • @flypunk90 well maybe it would spin or whatever, but car's ability to roll over depends only on its cornering traction and center of gravity - non of these are influenced by whether the car is rwd rwd or awd :)

  • @nowthatscrazy the driver was ISTVAN SOOS and he told me that the accident happened because of the wrong suspension settings

  • @bishopsergiu suspension... hmm.. i'd rather think he hit the wrong "brake pedal". too much speed + too much grip = barrel roll

  • A virat atat de tare incat a prins asfaltul cu janta. Altfel nu imi explic cum de a reactionat asa masina. Poate si talon cam mic. Daca avea talon mai mare se ducea sanie eventual din cauza subvirarii dar nu se rasturna. Poate si presiune mai mica si a dansat mai mult pneul pe janta.

  • @netdriller eu cred ca pur si simplu s-a rasturnat pentru ca daca te uiti mai atent la raliu masinile mai mici (clio, 206, fiesta etc) tot timpul au probleme de stabilitate...ca de exemplu la un viraj de dreapta mai strans, roata dreapta spate se ridica de la sol...te ridici prea tare, te-ai duci

  • Mircea... it's not that it had slicks, it's that it had SOFT or MEDIUM slicks that's how he rolled it over. It was obviously driver's fault but enough of this bad driver good driver debate, accidents happen in racing thats why they have roll cages and helmets.

  • I'd love to be a rally spectator at least once, but unfortunately rally isn't very big in Australia

  • What do you mean, you have your own stage in the WRC Circuit, at least that's what i know, and i imagine australians have alot of offroad challenges in the outback. Anyway you're doing much much better on motorsport then us (phillip island, melbourne,etc).

  • Sorry, I was meant to say that rally unfortunately isn't a big part of Australia's culture. There is a total lack of recognition of the sport in general, and other motorsports such as the 'V8 Supercars' are covered very well in the media, despite being highly uninteresting. I do understand that Australia has it's place as one of WRC's venues, but there is much space for improvement in Australia's appreciation for rally.

  • Interesting how the car crashed like that. It looked like a rally race so I would think that it would be the suspension settings that did it. It seemed that the suspension was set very soft so there was a lot of body lean on the car. The driver carried a lot of speed around the curve which in a race, I would have done the same thing. The body lean and the speed combined though I think was enough to flip the car over. That's just my opinion though.
