I just ordered one of these to ship to TN for my gf for Vday. We went to Chicago and she was obsessed with this pizza. It was $17 for the cheese, $45 to get it shipped (it's because it has to be overnighted on dry ice). It's insanely expensive, but it's about the same price a date night would cost us, so this was a win/win since we get to stay the evening at home and she gets surprised with her favorite pizza ever.
Next day shipping for a pizza from Shitcago to Houston. WTF!!! Cold pizza that gives the runs because it might be 24 hours old is not my idea of good.

There is a place here in Houston that has pizza like Giordano Pizza in Kingwood.

@lamunnezza What do you call it? This is Chicago style pizza. The dough is created in the shape of a bowl. It holds all of the toppings on the inside of it. The sauce covers the ingredients. This is still pizza. It's the same concept but with a twist. Just because it's not designed like New York pizza doesn't mean it's not pizza. There's all sorts of styles when it comes to pizza.

@Silver54ful if you order a "tiramisù" (for example), u will have a dessert with some well known ingredients and served in a particular way. you can't classify it as all food that contains coffee, mascarpone and sponge cake.
p.s. dough 1/5 inch high (or less, but not more) tomato souce, buffalo's mozzarella (not cheese, and not too much).. cooked in oven at high temperature (330°C) for 1,45 minute....anything else.. this is pizza. of course you can add some topping. but not so much.

the first time i Ordered Giordano's shipped to Arkansas, it was only 50 dollars for TWO pizzas because they shipped it on dry ice and it took 5 days to get to me...now they ONLY have next day shipping which is like 45 dollars so that makes the price ridiculous it's something like 63 dollars for ONE pizza! I love it but for 79 dollars you can get 4 Lou Malnati's and they are good too just not THIS cheesy or stuffed but still great Chicago pizza...when i'm in Chi-town though it's all Giordano's!

@lamunnezza What do you call it? This is Chicago style pizza. The dough is created in the shape of a bowl. It holds all of the toppings on the inside of it. The sauce covers the ingredients. This is still pizza. It's the same concept but with a twist. Just because it's not designed like New York pizza doesn't mean it's not pizza. There's all sorts of styles when it comes to pizza.

i don't know if the taste of Chicago Style "Thing" is good (but i can imagine it is delicius!!). I hope to try it someday!

@lamunnezza Well I hope you do try it and love it. But I have to ask. What do you call real pizza? Just because it's not the exact same design as the orgins of pizza doesn't mean it should be labled as a different food. This is how the food has been classified so we're not going to call it anything else but pizza.

@Silver54ful if you order a "tiramisù" (for example), u will have a dessert with some well known ingredients and served in a particular way. you can't classify it as all food that contains coffee, mascarpone and sponge cake.
p.s. dough 1/5 inch high (or less, but not more) tomato souce, buffalo's mozzarella (not cheese, and not too much).. cooked in oven at high temperature (330°C) for 1,45 minute....anything else.. this is pizza. of course you can add some topping. but not so much.

Giordanos is good, but sorry people New York pizza wins every time. When it comes to Hot Dog's...I gotta give that up to Chicago. I would take a Chicago-style dog over a NYC-style dog anyway. But sorry people...real pizza you should be able to fold, the slices should be big and thin. I love deep dish but it is a specialty item. New York always has had and always will have the best pizza.

the first time i Ordered Giordano's shipped to Arkansas, it was only 50 dollars for TWO pizzas because they shipped it on dry ice and it took 5 days to get to me...now they ONLY have next day shipping which is like 45 dollars so that makes the price ridiculous it's something like 63 dollars for ONE pizza! I love it but for 79 dollars you can get 4 Lou Malnati's and they are good too just not THIS cheesy or stuffed but still great Chicago pizza...when i'm in Chi-town though it's all Giordano's!
