  • fumes from the cigar poisoned the victim...so how come the baddie was unaffected? Held his breath?

  • "How did you find out about my...?" Well. That's the stinger, right there.

  • 27 people are real patriots!

  • The chick in this serial also appeared in a famous 3 Stooges short where they satirize Hitler and Mussolini.

  • @leafyutube Yes her name at that time was Lorna Gray. She also played Vultura in the Nyoka serial at Republic. Then she changed her name to Adrian Booth and made Westerns. She is still alive at around 90.

  • Hmm, so apparently having Steve Rogers as his Captain America persona making serials as part of his time being a USO mascot in the feature film wasn't too far from the truth...

  • Captain America doesn't fight even one single nazi in this whole serial?

    blasphemy!

  • Boy, you're riding that bike on the wrong side of the road!

  • It's the great Lionel Atwell! Bravo!

  • Grant Gardner??!!?!?

  • Captain America looks a bit over weight.

  • @leafyutube CAPTAIN AMERICA IS AVERAGE!!!! HE'S AN AVERAGE JOE!!!! THAT'S WHAT HE'S MEANT TO BE!!!! CAP'S A TOUGH SOB WITH OR WITHOUT THE SUPER SOLDIER SYRUM OR AN INDESTRUCTABLE METAL DISC!!!!

  • has all the right things that would made it a good fit for a movie, had all the wrong things for a comic adaption and not enough elements

  • The plot looks good..but I'm disappointed that Timely let the movie studio have their liberties with the character.

  • "I want to know more about the vibrator." haha

  • @MrFlashBazbo Captain America was always Steve Rogers in the comics. When Republic was making this serial, they were originally going to use a different liscensed character. For some reason, they changed their mind last minute and went with Cap, but they didn't alter the script or story to stay true to the comics

  • @timmonster You're confusing Captain America with Superman. Republic tried to get the screen rights to Superman but they were too expensive. They already had a plot line about mechanical robots that were going to take over the world. Republic came up with a character called the Copperhead (a man wearing a lead lined mask helmet and called the villian Dr. Satan. The serial was Dr. Satan's Robot. Captain America was an original story contrived by Republic scriptwriters.

  • @MrFlashBazbo Are You telling Us that this is not the Marvel Captain America, but one before Marvel? The one by Marvel was fighting the Red Skull and Hitler and His Axis!

  • @MrFlashBazbo Hard to believe that Marvel has been around since the 40's,or maybe even the 30's? The cheapest price for a comic book that I can recall is ten cents.

  • @MrFlashBazbo That is very, very wrong. Steve Rogers has always been Cap since the first issue in 1941.

  • @rcollier

What are you even Talking about? Who is Steve Rogers? And a cap of what? I am confused.

  • besides here there no where else you can see this.but i love "B"movies.on my cable provider we have a "PBS"ch. that shows tons of this type of stuff
