@MissStripyVest I agree with Paraville 1, it drops something like 60 foot, and then goes a further 45 feet below the ground, at the bottom is a 4,5 G-Force. It doesn't look high, but it goes bloody far down, and vertically into the ground doesn't help, either!!
went here with school trip a couple of years ago lol only got on five rides haha but they were still some of the best (Enterprise, Ripsaw, Air, Duel, Submission) and if your wondering why didnt this guy and his mates go on Oblivion, it was cus some dude had a breakdown on it and the qeue went from half an hour to 3 hours -_-
120ft underground, and believe it or not, it doesn't actually go vertical unlike some of the more modern dive machines like griffon and Shreika instead it goes about 87degrees. Still its pretty close, and its hard to tell when riding it.
when i went to stay at ingustre hall for a week with my school, in the hall hteres two painting of a wife (1) and husband (1) and when the owner was talking they said these people also owned alton towers and in the painting the background was alton towers (obv. without rides -.-)

@CyberPCVision Amusement park is like a 'Theme' Park but has no 'Theming' or anything to indicate towards a particular 'Theme'.Blackpool Pleasure Beach is a tradtional Amusent Park as u need to pay for the rides/attractions and there is no 'Theming' apart from Valhalla which is themed very well. Alton Towers, Chessington, Lightwater, Gulliver, Legoland, Camelot, Flamingoland etc aren't Amusement parks as they all have themed rides and areas and you don't pay for the rides.Yea america's crap ;).

@fudgepacksack k 4 starters alton towers is NOT an 'Amusement' Park, it is a 'Theme' Park, there is a huge difference. Theme Parks have themed rides/attractions and areas e.g. a Pirate themed land. Amusememt Parks don't have that and are full of fairground/carnival rides and u need to pay for each ride. Secondly I find ur racis, to be disgusting. You are a tyical anti-british american twat. The drop is 180ft,
60ft above ground.
120ft underground, and believe it or not, it doesn't actually go vertical unlike some of the more modern dive machines like griffon and Shreika instead it goes about 87degrees. Still its pretty close, and its hard to tell when riding it.
