I am no genius but I can define the gaping holes in this survey. It does not consider that fact that the poll takers are not well informed about TP politics. Only 29% know anything (a great deal or fair amount) about the Tea Party. Therefore, 71% need to learn about them. The explanation in 14b is the only information that these poll takers will see when they take this survey and there is NO opposing view represented here. I bet this skewed the results a bit. The article puts the Tea Party ahead of Dems and Reps in public opinion. 41% TP, 35% DEM, 28% GOP. So long as they have the option of off-shoring production, they will do it, and they will terrorize city and state Governments with destitution to extort favoritism. Local taxes pay for cops and roads. The other stuff, yeah, federal money. I am no genius but I can define the gaping holes in this survey. It does not consider that fact that the poll takers are not well informed about TP politics. Only 29% know anything (a great deal or fair amount) about the Tea Party. Therefore, 71% need to learn about them. The explanation in 14b is the only information that these poll takers will see when they take this survey and there is NO opposing view represented here. I bet this skewed the results a bit. The poll shows that 23% know nothing at all about the Tea Party yet only 15% stated that they have no opinion about them. This means that 8% of the people who took this survey have an opinion on a subject that they know nothing about. More to come.

The article puts the Tea Party ahead of Dems and Reps in public opinion. 41% TP, 35% DEM, 28% GOP. while the profit margins of said business man only increase, and increase, and increase for about 35 years until eventually the worker witnesses his standard of living significantly fall or is removed from employment in favor of 3rd world labor, THIS is clearly the "new slavery" as you put it, and it is wage slavery. Taxes are payment for services rendered. Having roads free of potholes and a criminal justice system, and protection from terrorists, and an army and navy and airforce and yes, even a healthcare system and welfare which keeps the poorest from resorting to crime, and fire fighters and those who keep your food free from contaminants, all these things cost money.

Local taxes pay for cops and roads. The other stuff, yeah, federal money. But so much is WASTED in Washington every day on ACORN and other worthless special interest groups, on wars we need not be in, on 700 bases around the world, on giving away billions a year to other countries - that the tax rates are forced up much higher than they need to be.
15% flat tax with all that fat I talked about cut out - that is the way it needs to be.

Hey dangerouslytalented we dont owe anybody healthcare. We owe them the right to have it. That doesn't mean we have to pay for it. Welfare is a system started to give folks a hand up not a hand out. As our Hispanic neighbors would say we are doing the jobs Americans wont do. The fraudulent recipients of a welfare check can do those jobs,and pay their fare share. Abolish the worthless corrupt IRS and establish a flat tax. EVERYONE pays the same. Paying for these types of fed programs is a waste.

This is not about oweing people anything. THIS is about having a better deal for EVERYBODY. Proper healthcare for everybody drops the costs for everybody, it means that those who would otherwise be too sick to make a positive contribution to society will be healthy enough to pull their weight.
Oh, and blaming it on American recipients of welfare checks overlooks the fact that American minimum wage workers are so underpaid that welfare is an attractive option.

In truth, there's a much larger gap in liberalism vs. conservatism abroad than there is here. The US is much more conservative than most of the industrialized world. Moreover, you can't really remark about that person's level of education or depth of knowledge. Sure, an 18yo probably doesn't know shit. But unless you've actually walked & talked w/him, you can't say anything conclusively.

BUT, be intellectually curious enough to engage in theoretical discourse. Like it or not, Danish theory & Friedman theory economics inform US economic theory. With that, I think you may agree.

I will argue that a 18 year old kid in Australia does not have as much as a U.S. citizen does. In all honesty it was how he framed the question that pissed me off(basically ignoring the fact that our last president was not a economic conservative)which partly led us to the situation were in right...IMO. They started in December, 2007 and were arranged and attended by Ron Paul's grassroots. Most of us stopped going when the neocons hijacked it after Obama won the presidency. There's still a few of us out there, pathetically handing out Constitutions to neocons, hopefully a few of them will leave the dark side. :(

When the bags started out, it appeared appealing, perhaps something I could get involved with, but then government media stepped in on the rallies for ratings and spin, all the while protecting their interests. That is they shaped the message from "we are pissed at the republican party for the middle class sell out", to, " we are just pissed off at the government in general." Sad really, I thought a grass roots movement was going to develop. Instead we ended up with GOP useful idiots.
