This is going to sound stupid, but what data did you actually send or receive besides the "acknowledged" message? What data COULD you send or receive with this radio?
You should check GPS/APRS Set Mode Menu Item #6 (APRS Mute). The value should say "off". If set "on" the beep tones are muted.

@twoeyedox I can't hear that "Beacon Received audio prompt" in my vx8r when it received a APRS beacon.. In APRS menu, "APRS RINGER BCON" is ON but i can't hear that voice. Can you help me for that problem ? Thank you.

Impressive! Have not spotted the ISS myself yet. Sure will give it a try someday. Unusual to have a camera as part of the set-up :) 73 de OH2FRM

It's packet radio, the 'noise' contains compressed data.
