Thanks! Its been so long, but I think Sally was 200 from a breeder. They live 3-5 years on captivity on average....mine is 3.5 now. They are carnivores, but we feed cat food as the main nutritional source and supplement with Turkey, carrots, mealworms, and crickets.

The stuff in the water is an oatmeal mixture to help keep her skin moisturized and healthy. Rest assured my little hedgie is happy and well taken care of, not to say she doesn't like to poo in her bath water every now and then :) lol To all that want hedgehogs, do your research first and buy from a good breeder, not a petstore.

@FastPawz Unfortunately, I had no choice but to buy from a petstore. The closest breeder is upwards of 8 hours away. :( But I'm glad I was able to give the little guy a home.

The first hedgehog I picked out turned out to be a girl, with babies. :P So I got the only other non-albino hedgehog. I wasn't a fan of albinos back then. Now I think they're cute. xD

Gah Hedgehogs from pet stores are kinda expensive and sometimes a lil vicious. But paying $170 or so was worth it, i just love my lil hedgie Odin :)

Well, you first need to make Penny get used to your scent, which I don't know how long it takes. Then, when that is done, you'll know by her being calm when you pick her up.

It could also be how you handle her.

i read on a help-page that the hedgehog will get use to your scent quicker if you stick your pillowcase that you've been using or a shirt that's been warn all day into their cage.

Of course, not a sweaty, stinky shirt. A clean shirt that you've warn around the house will do just fine.

That should be done on the first day you've brought them home. Once they start feeling comfortable, you can handle them a little more with ease..

Im getting one by the end of this week, beginning of the next for 150. It comes with a cage food/food dish water bottle bedding and a hide. Which is a pretty good deal. The guys giving me a 3 ft long cage by 1,5 ft by 1,5 ft cage. So im happy about it :D Im gunna make a different account to put vids of the lil guy on here, but if you have any tips you would like to give me. I would be super grateful! :D

They are MUCH differant then hamsters. They can be really grumpy and ball up, or be really sweet. They are VERY hard to take care of, please do research (alot!) before you get a HH.
