Not a fake. It was a rehearsal for the Bands marching display they're performing at this years Basel Tattoo in Switzerland. It's just a freaky coincidence that Jacko died a few days before. And yes it is on the square of Wellington Barracks and not the palace.

It's not fake, the Guards bands that perform ceremonial duties at Buckingham Palace play contemporary music to amuse the tourists.
They've played some ABBA, Star Wars and Grease tunes.
