for instance - i never cook

im probly as bad at cooking as maya!!

anyway..when i was babysitting a kid, i had never cooked spaghetti before and she wanted spag - thats how she called it

so i tried cooking it...and i undercooked it, but i also burnt it onto their new stove

before i can clean everything up, her mom comes home and sees the burnt on spag on her stove!!! it was dreadful...lol!!!

I've never played an Harvest Moon game before, so I don't know how this works. Do you have to play everyday to feed animals and water the crops? And how does the the time system works? Yeah, you plant crops and tend to animals as well. Also you can get married to a character of your choice. There's seasons but only 30 days per-season. And although it does have 24-hours in a day each minute goes by a second. Usually it depends on the game so there would be minor differences in time but a day goes by really fast.

No, you don't have to play everyday in real-life time if that's what you mean. The game starts off from when you last saved. But if you mean play everyday in the game then yeah since your animals and crops need once-a-day care. Also, on the issue of animal death I really doubt that they die in Animal Parade/Wakuani since its past game Tree of Tranquility didn't have that rule so I'm pretty sure you're safe on that. Plus, as long as you don't neglect them they shouldn't get sick enough to die.

You still have to restore 1-3 bells to unlock the three bachelors and three bachelorettes that aren't available, but at least you don't have to wait entire seasons or years after the bells are restored to meet the people you've unlocked. The majority of the bachelors and bachelorettes are available at the outset.

They really need to make another HM game that focuses on what their fans enjoy: farming and family. It seems like all the new games are focused on saving the world. That's not what Harvest Moon is about.

The reason I'm hesitating to buy this game is because I'm tired of being the Harvest Goddess's slave.

Playing the JP version, I believe the main focus and the strength of this awesome game is still farming and family. The Goddess Quest is something you can do at your own pace. For me, this IS the definitive HM game after all the pain of some of the more recent entries in the series. I love it to death.

I enjoyed Magical Melody because it didn't really affect much of my work to gain notes. But in Tree of Tranquility, I had to awaken the Harvest Sprites and complete the recipes before I could do a plethora of the things I wanted to do, which was frustrating.

Thank you. I will be reading other reviews for this game when it comes out, before buying it.

Rent it and see if you like it. I find that experiencing the game is the easiest way to decide whether it's for you. Why should I trust the opinion of someone who I don't know?

One thing that this game has done right is the little details that helped reduce tedium and frustration. Granted you still have to do certain things to unlock more stuff, but the game just feels a lot more... balanced. Much better design as a whole.

Hmm, you probably could (technically), but Selena shows up shortly after Luke does, if you continue to play through the story events.

It's not that big of a deal having Selena move into town since you need much higher heart levels (7 hearts with your rival) to trigger rival marriages in this game. You probably won't get it by accident.
