  • Ye know someone said the questions were bad, I thought it refreshing to hear a different perspective other than money and fame. Thanks for uploading!

  • I said it before And I will likely get hated here for saying it Yes should of done in album in 2002 with tom brislin the guy is a great song writer put him wtih Squire White Anderson and Howe and you would of gotten a classic.

  • Gates of Delirium? How does that song go? *Blank stares.

  • My favorite of his guitar passages. Almost wish this were a single on its own.

  • we could say that any fool can be lucky enough to talk to these guys. What a bunch of silly questions!

  • wow. gods of rock.

  • Oh my God, two of my greatest idols and icons!

    Greatest philosophers of all time!

On the day after the Saints (repelicans) lose to the Packers (union mobsters) and Oblame me Hussein's Jobs For America Speech, two days before the tenth anniversary of 9/11, in the year of our Lord 2011.

Tell Benoit Oliver Life is Like An Still Expression of Continuance of Success and Warmth!

95% per Bruford, 5% for timing, spirit, notes, chords, TIMELESS!

  • Steve is my all time favourite guitarist, a true master

  • What a strange accent Jon has being a native english speaker and everything, where in England is that accent from?

  • @N0rmad Jon Anderson is from Accrington in Lancashire which is north of Manchester in the north west of England. However, his accent now is only very vaguely northern. You would have to hear a native speaker and then compare it with Anderson's accent to pick out the roots of his now curious mid-atlantic accent.

  • Can any of you musicians tell me what note/key/chord from 0:39 to 0:48? Thanks.

  • @sickprogfunk the notes are in order of scale: F, B and E. As a chord, there are different ways to look at it. It could be an Fmaj7-5 (one way of thinking of it, though it omits the third.) Johnny

  • steve howe maybe one of all time underrated guitarists...he had like 12 guitars on stage,classical,acoustic,12 string,ukelele,3 electrics etc..

  • a masterpiece.....

  • They are so polite to this interviewer who obviously has no clue: "The Gates of Delerium? How does it go?" Priceless.

  • I believe this captures the essence of Yes, but sadly Steve is making pounds with Mr. Esquire et. al..

  • Great ballad.

  • He still sounds like the voice of YES. what a band. Beyond rock and roll. Into the rarefied air of classical music. I'd dare say they are more profound than any music composed since 1950.

But they still are asked questions like how did you name the band. Duh. And how come the songs are so long. Did they ask Picasso - hey Picky, why d'ya paint such weird figures? Love that question about the gates of delirum. Hey - house it go? Dah Dah dah dah dah dum daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

  • Why they didn't make Tom Brisin an official Yes member is beyond me. Strange band, too many lawyers around them.

  • I love this song, Big Thanks......

  • Million Times Thanks ! Never seen this before.

  • Steve proves brilliant here both as musician and answerer of bad questions.

  • Really cool to hear them talk about their philosophy. Yes, you need to bring Jon back in! He is the spirit and the love!!!

  • This was also during the Symphonic Tour, which I saw in Amsterdam, which was really great. Love to see these two together so eloquently expressing what Yes means!

  • Why Yes?, why not?...well said Jon. Master Howe you rocks !

  • a great little rareity, i think Jon will be back where he belongs soon enough

  • i wish JON could sing in my projeck...

  • Yesterday in evening i was listening to Tales from Topographic Oceans and this morning this video came in like a response to that. isn't a magic? YES is a magic. without JON, his voice, his themes and his light they would be just an ordinary prog band.

  • I would've loved to have been a fly on the wall during that late night candle-lit session when Jon & Steve laid down the basic framework of this record...

  • That sentence scared me up until you said "the basic framework".

  • Well, I have always wanted to hear for sure what their philosophy is behind the band. It is very hard for non-native speakers at times, and Jon and Steve were patient. I think part of the problem is the distance that this very young interviewer has from the original culture and mind set in which Yes' type of music found its genesis.

  • The interviewer was a Yes fan....not!

"Can you hum Gates of Delirium?" lol

  • Of all the questions to ask to these two geniuses, another completely wasted interview. Fuckers.

  • I'll second that.

  • What language/country is this show from?

  • Estonia

  • This is a great interview! Too bad we don't have many like this in the USA. I miss Jon in the band-hope to see him back!

  • at eennnymo: You've got to be fucking kidding, it was ridiculous.

  • IS that Tom Brislin? I loved seeing him with YES... His delivery of Gates of Delirium was totally inspiring.

  • As was Ritual.

  • This is fantastic....Jon is in fine form.....

Squire must have been in the tub.......

  • HAHA

  • Jon is unfortunately struggling on this one. Maybe it was too early in the morning.

  • How was he struggling? I think your ears are struggling to function correctly. He had nearly perfect pitch the entire song, and besides its not about that anyway its about the passion and emotion behind what hes singing.

  • This so great. The best prog rock band on earth. Keep them coming. Thanks for sharing it!!
