Damn...didn't Jerry look stylish in that long coat and scarf? Looked in good shape, too...there have been several periods in his life where Jerry looked much older than his years (starting in the mid 60's), and his weight has fluctuated badly too, but he looks trim, fresh faced and clear eyed here...nice to see!
I saw jerry lee in Manchester Apollo about 79/80. It was great until some daft teds jumped on stage , I think they just wanted to bop round the piano like in "dont knok the rock" but jerry ran off and didn,t come back !
That would've been 10th February 1980 (I've a few minutes of amateur footage on film somewhere!). It was even worse in Manchester in 1977 (The Belle Vue, 25th February 1977), as they had to stop the show a couple of times due to stage invasions!
The cadillac belonged to Colin Phillips who ran the UK fanclub at the time, & when Jerry saw it he got in that car instead of the one arranged by the promoter! : )
Jerry, the one and only.

That's not just any old Cadillac. It's a 1957 Fleetwood.

I remember this like yesterday.
Jerry ignored the Rolls Royce and hopped into fan Colin Phillips old style Cadillac.
The original report was shown on Granada TV News.
