The lines of a Pantera are timeless and beautiful, so to see those bulbous fender flares ruining what is otherwise a magnificent car is beyond words for me.
Im absolutely sure that this 3,000 pound car was powered by a 4 banger that made about 100 wheel horsepower. Why do you think it was so fast? Anyway, listen to that crazy sound! You cant get that roar from a V8!
@nrlracing07 OK lets set you straight right now..... I have one of these, it's sitting in my garage right now. I also have an article on the car in the video. All Panteras came STOCK with a Ford 351 Cleveland with heads specially worked for the Pantera that put out 330 hp. The engine was mated to a ZF Transaxle that is also used in the GT-40 and some Porsches among others.....the particular car in the video is powered by a highly modified 351C with 8 weber carbs on it.
@hipcat13 You guys, the only Pantera model rarer than the Alfa DOHC engine was the one that came with a martian photon accelerator. Christ i know that these came with a V8

Duh, I know this car isn't made for the streets, and I didn't even call this car a Gr. 4. @hipcat13 Haha , you think... I know the owner. He selled this car. He owns the candy also but the candy is more powerfull and he recently bought the de tomaso pantera ada. He lives in Belgium by the way.
@nrlracing07 The closest thing to a Pantera with a 4-banger is the kit car version from the seventies which ironically enough, is more rare than a real Pantera. Sorry you were mistaken.
@borflind166 Hard to say how much HP is there because many people modify the engines with different carbs, but the stock 351 Cleveland was rated around 250 HP.
With more CFM though it's easy to make them run around 350-400 HP.
