I wish Honda would one day make a compact DOHC V12 engine that made 500hp and has a fuel economy rating of 30 mpg city and 35 mpg hwy and stick it in an Accord sedan or coupe that has a car weight of 3000 lbs.

I have an '06 Honda Accord Coupe (EX-L V6 w/5-speed auto) and it's fast - 0-60 in 6,9 seconds - only the 6--speed is faster (by just over a second). It cruises comfortably at 75-80 mph (if you don't get tickedts - lol!) and the engine is jsut barely turning 2200 rpms. Gas mileage has been good (for a V6 auto) - I average about 23 mpg overall. The car's features and equipment are awesome for it's price class; the handling is awesome as well (I put 18-inch rims from an '09 Accord Coupe on it ).

Personally I think the coupe design isn't that great. The rear looks like a typical Dodge compact care design. Missing so much of the 2007 autoshow design. I'd rather wait for the next coupe, gosh another 3 years...bummer.

@sexyboi142 definitely not a recent dodge...do you remember the neon with it's angled away rear trunk lid...basically what I was trying to get across and maybe didn't so greatly is that the accord rear is american-bland of the 90's early 2000 designs.  I wish Honda would get back to the orange turn signals.

@EWLGtoday oh...well honda definitely pulled it. I highly doubt that they'll ever go back to amber turn signals. no one is doing amber anymore. Its usually red, or clear that flash amber.

The only good accord is the 2004 and 05 my girlfriend has a 2004 coupe twin turbo charged it runs in the high 11s in the quarter. Thats a good little engine

Well actually i drive a 1986 mustang gt 5.0 and for my everyday car i have a 1999 jeep grand cherokee 2wd straight 6 150000 miles runs great! And last year in september i bought a 2006 jeep srt8 1532 miles now lookin for a used 06 or 07 range rover.

i was driving behind one a few weeks ago and it had Type R on the back with upgraded exhaust and a factory body kit. it seemed RWD but i doubt that honda made it RWD or even a Type R

Putting Type R letters on a non Type R car is called ricing it out...theres no factory body, but there is a factory aero kit...theres no performance version accord in the US however in europe there is but its the accord euro(acura tsx)

factory aero it is the same as factory body kit. aero means apperaence. body kits are made for apperence. putting Type R on a non type R car is ricing it out. if anything it adds flare and uniqueness

This car used to be an Acura TL, but to compete in US market with Camry with V6s they had to bring this model down. So technically the Accord didn't grow, it's just people are driving an Acura instead. The current US made TL is just ugly as hell

I wouldn't say last forever, but yes most well-kept Hondas can go up to 300,000 miles....the only car that has been proven to last forever are the old Mercedes 300D that have gone to million miles.

I own one, accord sedan 2009 not the coupe..very very comfortable and smooth...very classy looking too looks much better than a bmw and bigger..I would advise it ;)
