1986 they started the efi some had carbs and a popular mod was to swap for a carb because in 86 the heads choked the power 87 they changed to better heads and the efi actually worked in 89 they went to mass air from speed density and then mods were able to be done to cam and heads without chip burning
In 86 california models had the speed density EFI and the 87 all cars had it, 88 california models had mass air and in 89 all cars switched to mass air EFI. Depending on where your car came from either 85 or 86 was the last for carberated mustangs.
It's an Anderson Ford Motorsports Powerpipe. They usually run ads in 5.0 and the Muscle Mustang mags. It's been a while since I've picked one up, don't know if they're still around or if they still make 5.0 stuff. Thanks for the comment!!
thank you soo much im getting one along with a 76 C&l maf for 24 lb inj......how much timing are you running... i need a new damper cause i think its giving me false readings...
That combo isn't in the car anymore, I think I was running 14 degrees initial but I'm not sure. As for the C&L, I had one and had nothing but problems with it. The car ran fine above an idle, but getting it to idle consistently was impossible. I switched to a Pro-M and was much happier. Every combo is a little different though, I know some people have no complaints about the C&L.
The car is way to quiet. Do you have cats and flowemasters on it? Or is it all stock?

Just because you don't drive the damn thing doesn't mean you don't have to change the oil. Protect your investment
