  • @hd911luke yeah with my elementary Japanese.... some of these lyrics are pretty sad...at the key changes, it's like, a change for hope....she's talking about stuff that happens to "us" whoever the dude is she's talkin about.

  • you'r voice is beautiful...

  • Maaya's voice sure has changed over time. There are moments where I can't recognize her anymore. But it still has that swing in it that makes me feel calm and fall asleep any moment.

    C-A

  • just beautiful, and the song too.

  • Japan was forced to be like america.

you should look into what happened to the japanese

culture after their constitution was reinstated after the war.

The created Buto because of the great saddness due to the oppression by

    the americans.

  • Hehe... Sakamoto sure has control over her voice! To think this is also the voice of Ciel from Kuroshitsuji... and Switzerland from Hetalia... She has such a pretty voice!

  • @Dappledleaves WTF! So The person dubbing Ciel was a girl!, I soooooo didn't saw that one coming!

  • @Dappledleaves Switzerland in Hetalia is voiced by Romi Park, voice actress of Hitsugaya Toshiro from Bleach and Ed from Fullmetal Alchemist, but you're right about Ciel ^^

  • no puedo creer que sea la voz de ciel ,,me encanta

  • I used to have a hard time understanding this song but after trying to understand why Sakamoto-san would arrange the song the way she did, and how she transitions from line to line, the meaning of the song started to click, especially after understanding the last verse. That left an impression on me ;)

  • Hearing this song after Tokyo Revelations makes you want to cry more. I don't understand the song, but it's its melody that breaks your heart, after seeing Syaoran that you loved so much throughout the series turned into a puppet controlled by freaking Butt Chin.

  • goooooooooooooooooooooood

  • this is true people waht im going to say japan makes better stuff really im not insulting america i still love america but japan makes the best music really i dotn know how it feels like to be in japan but one day ill be there and stay there for the rest of me life

  • agreed ^^

  • It is not that the people of Japan make better music.

The only difference is opportunity, and having an open mind as to what the public wants to hear. Remember that the people decide what's popular. When enough of us decides to stop listening to the crap on the radio then it will change. there's alot of good music being made here they just dont play it.

  • @905SONICking better music. better games. better cartoons. and dare i say better girls? too much?

  • Comment removed

  • @905SONICking YAY! Someone who agrees. I really like Japanese music. I think it has a larger variety. It can be happy, sad, beautiful, dramatic, catchy and all that. A lot of American songs sound the same to me now.

  • @MusicLover54323 you're totally right!

  • @PrincessAvatara maaya sakamoto es una de las mejores voces de japon junto con kana uemura

  • @sauljosue1 ¿En serio? cool! Tampoco puedo chip: p

  • @905SONICking

you got that right sister....or brother.....haha

  • @905SONICking It's just that the language is so beautiful and lyrical. English just sounds ugly in music when compared to Japanese.

  • @MaryahLarkspur in your opinion. I actually prefer latin, but I like some english, and some japanese...but spanish or flip I don't like...

I don't like rap or hip hop (which is what is big right now)

  • @905SONICking the japanese put more soul and feeling into what they do.

  • @905SONICking thats the truth don't be afraid to say it i'll shout it to the clouds.....

  • @905SONICking Heh. Are you saying Bob Clapton, The Beatles, Pink Floyd(English/British), Van Halen, Utada Hikaru(She originates from America), The Journey, and Radiohead(English/British I believe), are inferior to any music? You have absolutely no taste.

  • @BottledFairie wow look im into japan i do respect my country some were good you dont understand who i am i like japan but i do love this country

    you dont know me

  • @BottledFairie

I enjoy how you completely distort one's comment there. Bravo to you. How on earth would calling music that originates from one country better than music that originates from another country's music make the other country's music "INFERIOR." In this case we are talking about the U.S.

Please take a look at the definition of the word: "better" - "More excellently or effectively." So 905SONIC is recognizing those great artists from the U.S. but likes artists from Japan more.

  • @BottledFairie

Also another thing is that there is no such thing as "better" music. Some people like Mozart, others like Rob Zombie, some will like Maaya Sakamoto, some will like computer generated singing such as Hatsune Miku from VOCALOID. - it's all SUBJECTIVE!

That's where the terms: "better, good, bad, inferior" come to play - TO express his or her subjective stance/feeling on the issue. To say that 905SONIC "have absolutely no taste" is ridiculous b'cuz PEOPLE ARE DIFFERENT!

  • @905SONICking It comes down to taste, just like you like their stuff more than america means you like their taste more is all

  • @905SONICking thumbs up baby! same thinking =)

  • @ngleek ya totally ^^

  • @905SONICking

America created that precious Japan of yours. So you might as well love America too. =)

  • @Gextiv america that nearly bankrupt shit country created japan? oh jesus christ, americans are stupid beyond hopeless ;) peace bro, you are just too fucking stupid for me to argue with you. btw i'm not a jap.

  • @xilitol

A conquered based military nation has choice but to follow its master's orders.

Japan was America's bitch. America wanted Japan to completely demilitarize, a cunning tactic because it would destroy Japan's economy which was based on its military.

Anyone over an IQ of 60 can realize that Japan had no fucking options.

America influenced their development into a completely non-military nation.

Which led to their great success.Your just too fucking narrow minded to realize this

  • @xilitol

Oh.. and I was referring to the American Empire back at its peak..

WW2 America. The most power-fullest nation on the planet.

Tip: Expand your knowledge oh history, then comment on matters that you don't seem to know jack shit about at the moment.

  • One of the best songs in the world!!!

  • I never understood why it as called Saigo no Kajitsu/ Last Fruit until I read the kanji for the song. The line Saihate o means "to the end" but the meaning for Sai is "Utmost" or "to an Extreme" and Hate carries the meaning "Fruit" or "End". So that means Saigo no Kajitsu is a word play in Japanese for To The End/Completion. Now it makes sense why the song is called Saigo no Kajitsu ;)

  • so beautiful!

  • This song has a nice smooth sound to it! =D

  • fu*** racist

  • TheFauCheuse isnt racist.

    TheFauCheuse only understands one language.

    probably learning disorder

  • But I like spanish.

  • ok and -xD ?

  • No, I said that because someone said stuff should only be in english and not spanish.

The origin of the name is chinese thats why is pronounced "Shaoran".

  • no sé pero ambos maneras son correctas. La pronucía es diferente de cada idioma
