I was in early labor for 4 days with contraction 5 mins apart . The last 2 days of early labor I couldnt do anything. When my water finally broke my body seemed to be fighting the whole labor process I think it was too weak I was even to the point of dehydration I ended up with a C-section.
Ladies make sure even when in early you keep going like any other day Like she said it can make a difference from a vaginal birth or having a c-section.
I was 5cm, 50%, -2 station, lost mucus plug & had bloody show for dayssssss, dilated at 33 weeks. I didn't go into full blown labor till 6cm, 80%,+2 station all I felt was crampiness. I did get emotional a few days b4, and broke down and cried after a birthing class, lol. I had the loose stool a few days prior to actual labor. I didn't know though I was in real labor until I was 8 cm, lol Luckily we had planned a home birth otherwise we could have just ended up with one anyways. ha
Wow, thanks for the info! I'm glad you had a good, fast labor and can't wait to watch your labor story and see your little boy. I'm so excited for you! And how wonderful that your birth went quickly, at least the end part. Sounds like you were leading up to it for days before the actual birth. The only thing I've never read up on is the whole 'station' thing, and I'm not sure what -2 or +2 station means. I'm assuming it has to do with the position of the baby? Congrats again!
You're welcome, and yes we're having a great time! My FIL is the best cook and my MIL made a strawberry rubarb pie last night that was absolute heaven. So the food's great, the family is wonderful, and it's just incredibly peaceful and relaxing. Exactly what we needed before baby!
Thanks Tiffany! I have read stuff/pamphlets like this thousands of times... but it still interests me to hear it/read it again! Never heard the thing about the diarrhea... so good to know!
You're welcome. I'd heard all the usual ones but there were quite a few that were new to me and having it laid out in sequence like that from early signs to late labor seemed very useful. Glad I could help!
Thanks that is helpful..my doctor barely tells me anything lol.

I've never seen any parts of my mucous plug ever. Really weird because a lot do.

They do say that a lot of women lose theirs without noticing, like when they go to the bathroom.

I can't wait til all this happens! I swear, with my first born, the contractions hurt more then actually giving birth!
