This man is a legend!!! I've met him twice now when i've been away camping and he is by far the most knowledgeable person on tent's i've come across. This video is always mentioned by other campers WOW just wish I was that quick. He advised me to buy one of these tents to replace my Montana 6 and can't wait to pitch it.
Great video - convinced me to buy one (2011 model) earlier today :). Works well on this model as well, however I cannot get it back in the carrier - any ideas?
Where do you put the wood ticks? One of the most practical looking tents I've seen so far. It looks big enough to park your car or truck into. My thought about camping with any large tent is the pop up single or double person tent to put inside for privacy and protection/warmth for cold nights and in older groups. I'd also thought of that in case the rain get's in.
and its not raining, snowing and you need to be tired from working and then driving and also hungry. that is usually my camping experience. nice tent though.
Looks great - we'll give this a shot in a few weeks. I did notice though, that it moved a fair bit from it's original position - this is the trouble we always have when trying to place it on the footprint.

I am planning to buy this tent but was a little worried that one had to be two persons to pitch it. I now see its possible to pitch it alone.

All very well but it should have been slightly to the right!
And with a footprint sheet :-)

I will try this method in a few weeks.
We have followed the instructions in the bag but this seems quite a bit easier.

Thanks for this. We have taken notes and followed your method for putting up our Vermont XL. We are now experts :-)
