"For Nancy" was written for Gavin's mom. Both his parents where at the march on Sunday, along with 1400 others from Gavin's Broadway Impact organization!

My friends and I were so very fortunate to be in-attendance at this HRC National Dinner... and will never forget it. The entire evening was so historical, paramount and entertaining. Thanks hugely to President Obama, Lady Gaga, the cast of GLEE and Gavin Creel for their terrific appearances. He sang wonderfully (and Robbie Roth rocks)! This is only the beginning... EQUAL RIGHTS WILL COME!!!

I was there as well and it was such a touching event. I have never been in a room with so many incredibly welcoming and loving people as I was surrounded by that night. It was definitely a life-changing experience and I will never forget it.

It's called "For Nancy", and it's one of Gavin's own solo songs- he wrote it! Which, you know, just makes it all the more beautiful and poignant <3
