@Er89John But the Kick-Ass film had more heart than the comic, it wasn't just brutal for the sake of brutality. The characters were much more like-able and didn't use the word "fuck" in every other sentence. It built to a great final climax that we hardly see in movies. (And my god, the soundtrack...)
I really like Super, too. However, where it falls flat for me is in the sick humor. No movie should find it necessary to have more than 3 rape scenes and ever have them involve tentacles.

Super does it well when boltie gets shot in the head and dies because that's what's going to happen in real life. @BoxxyFan Believe-ability is just a bit more important than realism. The audience IS emotionally-charged by the end of Kick-Ass, and they want to see the heroes win. Kick-Ass is a wronged person, who got nearly beaten to death for no proper reason and the villain destroyed one of the coolest relationships seen in movies. We hate the villain because he took something from us. I'm assuming you hate comic-book movies, in general. But why should I take YOU seriously, when your name is BoxxyFan?

There was a whole lot more at stake. Frank is a pathetic person whose two perfect moments were getting married to a near-stranger and telling a cop where to go. But then he grows as a result of his interaction with Libby and the villains.

@Catmangamer The guy used a shotgun.. so it makes sense her face was half torn.. thats what a shotgun generaly does.. but yea I think I liked that scene the best sort of.. was kind of unexpected heh :/ good movie!

Kick Ass was awesome, even though it was a more kid friendly adaptation than the one of the comic book.
But Super? True Brutality, Violence in any way, weirdness of acts.
We love James Gunn, Rain Wilson and will always love Ellen Page....
