He deserved an oscar let alone a nomination. Brilliant performance. I'd be interested to see what else he will do and how he will fair. Hope he gets massive recognition and some good roles.

@Bass5el with all due respect just because he's impersonating someone doesn't mean it wasn't an oscar worthy performance. He really did a hell of job and impersonation i can imagine, is no piece of cake either; Maybe even more difficult because you have to capture the essence of a person. I believe if it's a job thats well done then it doesnt really matter whether or not its free interpretation of a character or impersonation. It all comes down to the question "were you moved?"

You, know it's slighly off season, but he should get a nomination for best supporting actor this year as there is quite a big gap in candidates
