Fruity Loops is easy as hell, but Ableton takes a little while to get used to, try the demo for a day, you'll get it in no time.

I dont think using samples is bad at all. I mean for things like kick, bass and leads its better to learn how to make your own sounds. But to add bleeps and percussion and other sounds use all the samples you want, i say.

Samples are what its all about and its how you manipulate those samples to make a new sound. Add effects to it or chop it up or whatever.

@RichyTea Don't be dense. If the source material isn't yours, it doesn't matter whether it's a first or your 7,000th attempt. The end result still amounts to nothing more than copying and pasting. If you need multiple attempts to master copying and pasting, you have some serious issues.
