I really enjoy and appreciate all the information that if displayed here on these videos. The only thing throwing me off is the symbolism of the Cross. Don't you remember that Jesus Died a horrible death on the cross? You think he likes being remembered by the way he died or rather he you remember why he died? And all that he did before his death. Millions of people pray to or with the cross and in the bible that is explained to be Idolatry. That is Some thing our lord Hates. I don't know why

I think what you mean is that the world is getting more hostile and to remedy this we throw a warm blanket of belief in a God to feel better. And the one REAL molecule he showed had a slight resemblence to a cross, I guess, but those molecules all look very different from eachother, and that weird almost cross-like shape is the CLOSEST they get to a cross. @omhealer Ok... how about this. I think it is waaaaay easier for someone to believe in evolution than to believe in something that you cannot even see. Did you know that faith is huge? Having faith in a God that isn't visible with the naked eye is one of the hardest things to live by. But it's worth it in the end. It's worth it now. First, I apologize. Proof only exists in Mathematics. Secondly, some book claiming something happened really doesn't count as evidence. I have a book that claim a magical man in a red suit gives little children presents if they're nice -- doesn't mean the claim is true, much less plausible. Even if it could be proven, I don't think (but don't know to be honest) it would convince me there is a god where there are other natural explanations -- sophisticated technology could do this.

Plausibility is different than possibility. There is no way consistent with our current understanding of the laws of nature for continuousness to continue after death. It does not make the claim to be 100% perfect and contest the its own fallibility. It is possible science is wrong, however IMPROBABLE. That's not arrogance, but a fact. In short: "but" is a conjunction between two clauses. A period is the end of a clause and a new sentence the beginning of one. Therefore, there is no conjunction that can be formed rendering "but" incorrect at the start of a sentence.

I really enjoy and appreciate all the information that if displayed here on these videos. The only thing throwing me off is the symbolism of the Cross. Don't you remember that Jesus Died a horrible death on the cross? You think he likes being remembered by the way he died or rather he you remember why he died? And all that he did before his death. I think what you mean is that the world is getting more hostile and to remedy this we throw a warm blanket of belief in a God to feel better. Problems still there but then we dont view it as a problem and "leave it in God's hands?" Believing in God seems to be a coping mechanism we have when things get rough. Its up to us to fix our world. And the one REAL molecule he showed had a slight resemblence to a cross, I guess, but those molecules all look very different from eachother, and that weird almost cross-like shape is the CLOSEST they get to a cross. Having faith in a God that isn't visible with the naked eye is one of the hardest things to live by. But it's worth it in the end. It's worth it now. Look, I enjoy Hitchens as a speaker, to a degree the other "horsemen" entertain me, but their theology and buffeted history is convenient to their feelings, not to any real study of the subject. It is the very fact that science cannot measure God that necessitates other disciplines to deliver an approach to the truth about the spiritual realm. And only the dumbest of the dumb amongst scientists would say that there is a 0% chance of a dimension other than the physical realm existing. Plausibility is different than possibility. There is no way consistent with our current understanding of the laws of nature for continuousness to continue after death. It does not make the claim to be 100% perfect and contest the its own fallibility. It is possible science is wrong, however IMPROBABLE. That's not arrogance, but a fact. Hitchens is actually wrong, if your paraphrasing correctly. How does he know you won't know? My statement is not nearly as absolute.

Do I know the sun will rise tomorrow? No. Do I have every reason to believe that it will, based on history, science, etc.? Yes
Can you not grasp the concept that after I die the atoms that make up my body will go to make up something else? Clearly not.
I have no reason to believe there will be "something left that knows its still alive without a body." That literally sound crazy.
Lastly, do not start sentences with "but."

In short: "but" is a conjunction between two clauses. A period is the end of a clause and a new sentence the beginning of one. Therefore, there is no conjunction that can be formed rendering "but" incorrect at the start of a sentence.
