Holy shit, you're a force to be reckoned with. I'm wondering what other Barrios you have in your repertoire. I play this one, Una Limosna, La Catedral and Las Abejas. Barrios was the greatest.
This piece is one of my favorite pieces by Barrios. When I heard this piece played by David Russell, my eyes keep wetting. You also play very nicely. I wonder that how you play 20th fret C without the bar? Best regards, from lute323.
The 20th fret is simply played with the nail of the left hand as fret (I know - unfortunately there is a tree in the picture here).
This piece was one my greatest challenges. It's 120% concentration and hurting fingers. The next (Chaconne) is similar...the reason for my silence at the moment...
When I first heard this piece played by John Williams it brought tears to my eyes because of its beauty. I'm just now "discovering" Augustin Barrios' wonderful compositions for the guitar. I'm trying to learn "Julia Florida" and it's a real challenge for my 76-year-old hands and fingers. Anyway, I just wanted to say that your playing also brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for sharing your wonderful talent with the rest of us. --Bill in Oregon
Hello Bill, thank you so much for your kind words! After looking on your channel in the last minutes I realized that these words came from a real passionate musician seldom found in the world.
Julia Florida is really great and was for me also a big challenge (but some people say I play it too fast (:-(). Good luck with it and keep on your great work!

Aloha from Hawaii. Excellent playing, especially the tremelo! Also, really liked the way you put the photos of the woods in the video. Mahalo for sharing your beautiful music!
Your playing of barrios is really great, Andi. Congratulations on an excellent performance and flawless technique. I am also very impressed with your editing. I have tried some editing myself, but they are not as good as this. Which programs do you use? I have tried 2 different ones, but am not happy with either. I like your setting, with the small tree beside you. Thanks for taking the time and effort to share this with us. Regards, Steve.
thanks very much! I have taken here the Magix video deluxe 16 (for Windows). I have bought it some weeks ago. It took a long time to learn it. However recording functions are not working correctly and I used Ulead video studio for recording the webcam parts (the close up parts are a Casio digicam).
Congratulations Andi for this brilliant performance .Your tremolo is perfectly steady
but beyond technicaities you managed to convey emotion in this beautiful piece (I enjoyed the leaves rhithmically moving in keeping with the music : an enchanting foresta !) All the best .Claude
