I miss the original Silverchair!. Frogstomp, Freak show & Neon ballroom. I was the biggest fan until they release diorama and young modern which sucked. John's says he hates his first 2 albums even though they were the albums that made silverchair and account for the majority of there record sales & without them he would be nothing.. Love the 90s

@vasagram what the hell is wrong with you man! diorama is musical genius and an experimental play on what daniel johns could do and create. sure, young modern was crap, and I'm pretty sure the general public acknowledge that. but diorama is probably my favorite album of the lot! its got class and grace, but a couple of dirty grunge tracks in there for the old fans like you. the only reason it didn't launch like the others was cos he was really suffering bad from anorexia when it was released.

the women scrubbing her hands until they bled is metaphorical. She kept looking at them thinking they were dirty, when in reality they were clean. Just like people who suffer from anorexia, no matter how thin they are, they still think they are "fat" or overweight, when in reality they are severely malnourished and skinny.

People with OCD go through numerous, repetitive daily rituals such as: the never-ending hand-washing, the 'counting' where they constantly focus on specific numeric patterns (counting the number of steps they take, avoiding stepping on cracks etc) and the 'checking' whereby they repeatedly check weather they locked the door, turned off the lights etc. Parallel to Anorexics' constant weight-checking.

Ohh this video is soooooo nostalgic for me- I was 13 when this came out, I remember watching it on TRL on mtv, just going through a really dark time in my life and listening to their entire album, it was one of the VERY few I could actually relate to- and still can to this day... The feeling of isolation, depression. Its sad to think music has changed so much and turned into commercial garbage- but this was such a great song, and the singer is just gorgeous, he looks angelic! :)
