  • I don't live in the US. I have seen such a storm befor somewhere els in the world. What I am sure about is that this kind of storm brings curses the areas it passes on.

The area where I saw this storm, was destroyed and thousands died.

I hope this will not happen in the US.

  • Got out of town just in time. Storm hit me in Arizona City. Just rain and wind. WOW! Am I glad!

  • "69th" like (; haha That was awesome! Phoenix got swallowed

  • When the visibility is low and you need to pull to the side of the road, you need to turn ALL the light off including stepping off the brake. If you don't, others may think you are still on the road and they will follow you.

  • I was in a sand storm in Egypt, not fun if you have to leave the house, i was Ill for months after.

  • @GArAr616 lol omg thats scaryyyy :[

  • I lived in Tempe, and Casa Grand-ay was always the correct pronunciation when I was there. The only way I can see that it could have changed is if a bunch of xenophobic anti-hispanic folks moved into the area as the name comes from the Spanish words meaning large house -- and by the way, I lived in the area growing up during the 60's and my family attended ASU, so don't give me the "local pronunciation" stuff.

  • gotta love the southwest! :)

  • According to the news above, it was 100 F degrees at the time. Whew.

  • @Starsk25 yeah...it was a cool day for us lol

  • How often have dust storms this large come through the south west? Was the last time during the great depression?

  • @creosotegirl it actually happens every year around this time...this years was just alot bigger than normal

  • It's pretty damned sad when the local broadcasters have no idea how to correctly pronounce the name of Casa Grande (Casa Grand-ay). I lived in Tempe and it's jarring for me (and I now live in Washington State) to hear supposed "locals" referring to the town as "Casa Grand."

  • @godivademaus Casa Grand IS the local pronunciation.

  • @newsgodaz godivademaus is correct, it is Casa Grand-ay can't you see an "e" at the end of grand?

  • Comment removed

  • i was cleaning my car out and didnt even see it coming. i heard someone yell and a second later i was bombarded with dirt, so much for getting the car clean with my door open :)

  • Is a dust storm perception different than snow or heavy rain? I'd not heard this before.

  • @Robhot1982 llololouyfre4wdtfgyhkolg

  • Um...I think it would be safer to turn on your flasher if you are pulled off the road. That is the purpose of them, isn't it? Of course, you always have the idiots that use their flashers during poor visibility as they DRIVE. No one seems to remember driver's ed, do they...

  • @jeffca19 We're not to have the flashers on because in dust storms the light gives you a false perception of distance from you and the vehicle in front of you. We've always been told to turn the car off after pulling to the side

  • 6:02 in that little black spot. thats where the evil aliens are hiding. and then they will jump out and kill everyone.

  • Wonder what are the doomsdayer's were thinking at the time....:o ??
