  • just started flying a t28 and im a newbee, started on a super cub excellent to learn, but on t28 seems to want to climb all the time even with lots of down on elevator can u advise cheers steve

  • Where can you get the flaps.

  • 1:06 ufo !!!!

  • You can fly this baby so slow for landing, fitting flaps is a waste of money :-(

  • nice!

  • Did you change the stock ESC or can it take the 2 extra flap servos ?

  • That looks so fun to fly!!! how light is it??

  • @Cheezykid111 1.3ounces / 38 grams

  • If you are compitent with the Super Cub, the Trojan is alot of fun. You could definitely handle that or the corsair,

The Trojan's wing loading is a bit lighter so it is very docle or aerobatic. IMO

  • hey i fly a hobby zone mini super cub i got for christmas and thats the only air plane i flied but im getting really good at it..... do you recommend me getting a t28 trojan?

  • Can this plane be landed in grass? thanks

  • what do flaps affect?

  • Do yourself a BIG favor, with any foam plane get some Minwax Polycrylic 1/2 pint semi-gloss or gloss, clean off the foam with rubbing alcohol, with a brush give it 2 or 3 coats of polycrylic (NOT polyurethane) and it makes the colors/decals really 'pop', gives it a smooth finish which makes the plane fly more efficient and wiping off dirt/dust is much easier instead of dirt getting embedded into the foam. It adds hardly any wight and really looks sharp. I did this with my Parkzone T-28 and wow!!

  • That looked good, the flaps looked like they slowed it down very nicely!

  • very nice skills, great flying!

  • Hello.

I got few days ago a DX6i and I have the trojan as well. I would like to built flaps on mine. Does it really make a difference landing with flaps?

    Thank you

  • When I put flaperons on it (im useing a JR radio) the flaperons dont move that much and its hard to turn with the flaps down

  • Does it have 2 servos for alerions STOCK?

  • 2 servos for ailerons (stock)

And 2 HS55 servos for the flaps. 1 channel "y"ed together.

    The flaps are a mod.

You can find build instructions on RC Groups

  • very nice mod,it really slows down with flaps.

  • I love landing compilation vids

  • I cut flaps for mine using a serrated steak knife...Its really easy to add flaps to this model

  • Separate inboard flaps are used on airplane designs for a reason. Lowering the flaps increases the effective angle of attack for that wing section by lowering the chord line. Simulating flaps with flaperon mixing can be useful, but increases the risk of a tip stall on landing compared to the same plane with separate flaps. With separate flaps you might stall the inboard sections, but will still have effective aileron control.

  • haha, i like epoxy to. Especialy for this model

  • ***I have this exact same plane but don't know how to add flaps... If anyone has any videos on "how to" please let me know. Thanks.***

  • dude all you do is cut the flaps, get some servos, horns, clevis, control rod, then just attach them and plug in the dervo wires into the receiver, if the receiver is not a 5 channel then get a 5 channel receiver and a 5 channel radio, and you are good to go!

  • Thanks bro but I've never tried such a thing so I'm not too comfortable with cutting up a perfectly good set of wings unless i know what i'm doing. Do you know of any videos that demonstrate this?

  • get a computer radio like the dx6i and program flaps into it using the ailerons. you have less control but you don't have to cut up the wings.

  • or program a dx6 to do it with out any cut required

  • if you have a radio that does elevon/flap mixing you can do it with the radio. i use the dx6

  • the second landing was great

  • the last landing was awesome

  • Nice flying, excellent technique. You land like a REAL pilot with a nice flair.

    5 Stars!

  • looks like it ensures a better landing but did you show a landing without the flaps i want to see if its a good investment.

  • how did you install them?

  • just cut them and add extra servos and put them in the gear slot on your reciever

  • does it come with the flaps?

  • Nope.

  • what are the FLAPs? Ailerons?

  • ailerons and flaps are tottaly different, look it up on google

  • lol

  • what angle do u recomend the flaps be at for this plane and how did u add the flaps i really want to get them and i want to add another servo for channel 5 but i dont know and i want to hear what other people do

  • Geez, with flaps it takes forever to come down, A worthwhile mod it seems.

  • getting mine next week

  • is thisplane gas?? or electric?? bcuz i have a HZ supercub thats pretty coool... but i would like something with flaps so i can do rolls and inverted flight. so is thisgas or electric??? and whats the price range on

    this?

  • i think you mean ailerons, flap go down to give more lift and mostly used for landing. ailerons roll the plane.

  • thats what i meant. thnx 4 the tip. lol

  • its electric and around 249.99

  • coool. what other kinda plane u got??

  • It's a good plane pyro32121, trust me, I fly it everyday and yes I did start rc planes with a Super Cub. You might want to fly it slow on the first day!

  • ALRIGHT, COOL. now with the ailerons is it easy to just use those and not the back rudder/steering thing?? or should i use both??

  • If you can handle high G and quick turns you can definitely fly the T-28 with ailerons! It's not that hard. You just have to get used to the roll of the plane. Hope that helps, message me with any questions you have!

  • Guys i give you a medal for that plane

wow thats one nice looking plane

    and landing where very good

  • This plane is awesome in many ways..its seems everyone is happy owning and flying them...

  • I'm impressed that it flies well in such a tight space. At 220. It's a great value. You sold me. It looks like it flies better than the Typhone.

  • Nice landing on 1:30

  • Flaperons work, but the flight characteristics are better with seperate flaps. I have flown both ways.

As for the weight, this plane is overpowered out of the box. (which is always nice) not a concern. IMHO

  • i got a dx6i transmiter and programed flapperons, they work better than conventionAL FLAPS, BECAUSE THEY DON'T REQUIRE EXTRA SERVOS WHICH IN THE END ACT AS DEAD WEIGHT

  • hey how easy is it?

  • Did you engineer/install the flaps yourself?

  • Great quality and good camera work. These T-28s are a blast to land. I had a problem with my transmitter, loose crystal, just unplug it and plug back in. It's labeled with a sticker that says 17 on the front and bottom left of the controller if I remember right.

  • The flaps look like they make a big difference, were they hard to install and do they use mush power?

    Nice vid too!!!

  • thanks for your respond, yup, you are so right it is the ESC...i was able to reset it by disconnecting the motor then connected my TREX motor on it, it works! now it's ready to fly again. THANK YOU for quick return.regards to you. jimmy

  • Wow! that's nice, i bougth my today, flew it twice...crashed,now nothing works anymore, not even moving servos nothing responding to the radio, any idea what should i do? BTW this is my first rc plane.

  • Try unplugging the esc and use a standard 4.8v pack in the receiver to test.

My guess it is something with the ESC.

  • get a obbyzone super cub. they are great planes for beginers. i have one now and after 27 flights and 3 crashes im ready to move on.

  • @jdgalmbz

Dear RC brother: try flying RC simulator (if not already); fun and save $; keeps me from pushing my luck on poor weather days, while keeping the fingers loose and ready for sunshine.
