Okay, I absolutley loved Gears 1 and 2, but here is what I think and want to see in the sequel:

1) A better structured climax and final boss. The Skorge boss fight was rather dumb IMO and it wasn't even at the end of the game. RAAM was by far more badass and awsome a final boss.

Also we do know the locust queen looks remarkably human. we also have the question about the Sires. Their name suggests more than anything else that they are something new and the tentacles on their backs are partially reminicent of the locust queen herself. The issue of time is not of any concern when you are playing with the idea of a regen race.
