I'm voting NO on this measure too. We get a little bit more money courtesy of Congress, yet the state wants to take it all. In my county, Los Angeles, sales tax went from 8.25 to 9.25%. I don't trust anyone in Sacramento when it comes to money. They couldn't maintain the rainy-day fund even when housing values shot up through the roof. The state spent that extra money like it was going to keep flowing and now it's not...Oops.
Vote no on Prop 1B as the money promised depends on 1A passing.
gee,I'm sorry.I just mailed my ballot in with no's across the board.See,we passed prop187 15 years ago but your pinko judges overturned the will of the people. If you don't want to restrict benefits to US citizens then you will have to deny services to US citizens.
Prop 1A is a legislative placebo. It doesnt cure our current/future budget problems. It only makes things worse.
We're already cutting basic health services for seniors and the needy. Prop 1A will restrict healthcare services to the current levels established after the most recent cuts and are unlikely to be restored for years to come.
Prop 1A would make any new legislation to enact true healthcare reform or expand existing coverage virtually impossible.
The State Government is trying to pull a fast one of the CA taxpayers. They don't even mention the tax extension on the ballot PRO and Con section. Arnold and both parties think that we are stupid. NO on 1A!!!
In the last 10 years, CA government has doubled in size. Do not feed the MONSTER!!
