Man! Is this ever good! Jean still performs regularly on the Opry. After all these decades, she can still sing most of the young gals in Country Music under the table! The "big wigs" in Nashville need to wake up and induct this great pioneer of Country Music into the Hall of Fame. Her late husband Hawkshaw Hawkins should be there as well! I think that you are right about Jean Shepard being one the best country singers. I heard on the Grand Old Opry last week singer a Christmas song. Every time I hear hear sing I come closer to thinking that she is the best ever. I love her.
