Hello I need help Im getting the same message C:\Program Files\Frets on Fire\FretsOnFire.exe.log it loads up ok I press enter to play it lets me choose the song then it goes red and gives me that silly message my pc can run it because I play world of warcraft and thats got more graphics and this so why does this not work I have never seen it work at all

NOTE TO EVERYONE:When on google don't download from this site, for some reason it's corrupt now. So when on google when you type "download frets on fire" click on another legit looking site. =) I hope this helps. If you have any problems having to do with weird looking codes that means it doesn't work on your computer. Probably you have vista or your system requirements.

umm, i have very strange problem - download and istalation = OK. But whn i try to launch it, theres an error that my k-lite codec doesnt suport this, i reinstalled both, and thn theres a huge error mesage filled with problems, and i dont even understand what those problems mean.

It's both shareware and it is the full game. You can download mods for it to get new songs. You just start off with 3 songs but you can download more for it.

i installed it long ago.. it works like charm... but now suddenly it's freezing everytime I select 'Play game' .. so i reinstalled it.. (a lot of ways!) and still getting same result.. I even got that .DLL thing in the fof folder & even on /windows/system32 folder. grr :S WTF happened

How about this? I reformat my PC, (it's getting slower anyway) I installed it again and I have the same prob. That .DLL again!! Then from further research, someone said it's a runtime error if nothing else is missing. I followed direction and installed '.NET Framework Version 2 Redistributable Package' (dotnetfx.exe) .. It opens the song library now.. but, eek! Sometimes, it does it to song tracks randomly. No choice but to reboot. It's annoying as hell. I'm just gonna play O2Jam :P haha

Yes near the end I put in where to put the download but I didn't tell you how to open it, sorry. To open it you have to go to the folder you saved it in and double click the icon which launches it. =) there ya go

To start the game up, just go to where you saved it, and double click it to open it. Remember: Always save it in a place which you can remember.

It means something was deleted. Your best bet is redownload the program. If this program persists, ask someone else because I dunno what to do after that. Don't worry, it happened to me before and it fixed after I re-downloaded it. I hope this helps ;)

lol it's a game which is VERY similar to guitar hero and it is a free-ware game. You should try it, it is really challenging. Oh and thanks =P
